I was very excited to dine here as the photos online looked beautiful and the menu delicious. However myself and my partner were very disappointed with the food and service. It took 20 minutes for our server to ask us what we would like to order from the bar and to eat after bringing us our menu. I could understand if it were a busy night but it was a slow Monday she was standing and chatting with a cower the majority of the time. When she did take our order the food was brought out in 5 minutes... the drinks took longer which is an indication of the quality and effort put into the food. I ordered the quinoa salad which sounded delicious on the menu but the dish was incredibly cold and off putting. The entire salad was incredibly cold and the "roasted" vegetables were stringy and the chicken rubbery. The entire thing was also soaked in lemon juice. I took a few bites but couldn't stomach it. About 10 min in our waitress dropped off the bill without a world and I was too over it to try and call her back to give my feedback. I guess I was hoping she would ask how things were.... The positive of our experience was the atmosphere. Its a cute place and the music was good. Our cocktails were also tasty. So two stars for the...
Read moreAs far as brunch goes in Thessaloniki, this is definitely one of the best you can go to. I would confidently say that the atmosphere here is top tier. Whether you to sit outside next to the old Byzantine ruins or inside in the modern and elegant space, it provides a different but in both cases great and pleasant atmosphere.
The service was great with one or two minor hiccups. It was fast, helpful and respectful!
The food was great, I got savoury pancakes that were very fluffy and light, with a delicious truffle infused cream and mushrooms. My white cold chocolate was not the best however, I ordered one with mastic and rose , and I imagine due to it being cold, it had been diluted by the ice, and the flavours were a bit numb, with the rose being almost completely unnoticeable. That being said, it still tasted good, just didn't live up to the same standard as the pancakes. The croissant I got later was alright, it missed the airyness and crispiness of a traditionally great croissant unfortunately, and due to these mishaps I can't give a full 5 star review.
Other than that, it was a great place, and I definitely recommend it to anyone who goes to Thessaloniki and wants to have a nice brunch or a coffee in a...
Read moreEven though it is a very cozy and beautiful place with delicious menu, the staff seem to be very unprofessional and rude. The person at the door responsible for placing people at tables, let me and my two friends sit inside at a table where there was a door right behind. The waiter was coming over to get ice from there and asked me to stand so that he could get in. It seems that they intentionally let us sit there and they thought it’s normal while you eat to have to stand up so that the staff can get ice or whatever from that room. When I explained to them that we must change table because this is unacceptable, instead of saying sorry and trying to help us feel comfortable, they made the situation even more awkward by trying to persuade us that it was okay to sit there and it was not a big deal. I instantly made a fuss about it and in the end they moved us to another table. This is something that I have not experienced anywhere...
