I was struggling to find any reason to give them another star, for the friendly and polite service alone, but the food was simply bad. So bad everything was left half-eaten. The marinated anchovies, the ''pantremenes'' (meaning married) sardines and the ''htypiti'' cheese spread were tasteless which is just wrong as they should all have intense flavours. The fries were ok... and then the disaster. The fried mussels were overcooked, which made the batter hard as rock and the mussels chewy. Leaving this fish untouched has never occurred to me before! The dishes were all slightly more expensive than other tavernas in central areas of Thessaloniki, which makes no sense considering the location or the restaurants vibe. Huge disappointment and I would not recommend...

The sweetness is subtle but it’s just right. Last but the least, my favourite was the smoked mackerel. The smokiness is quite strong which I love. Don’t forget to soak all the olive oil with bread, which also has that amazing smokey taste. Simple and friendly...
