overall: Great service, best views of the island (similar or better than Oiá), ac works if you have a one floor plan room, breakfast was decent but no choices, and pool is freezing but refreshing on a hot day. Most days we just stayed in the hotel because of the amazing views!
Would recommend for short stays.
Your stay will depend on the room you get (we had to switch as first room had no ac in bedroom which was in the attic and stairs were dangerous to climb down)
Cons: -super hard to find- took us 30 mins+ no signs and entrance is in an alleyway not in google maps. Main “street” has wooden doors which is for private entrance of certain rooms but was the only way we found it by accident. Ask around as soon as you get dropped off. -House keepers must clean everyday which is annoying for when we are napping and they knock and still come in. Can’t just skip days. -Bathroom smells of sewage but we kept door close to avoid smell. -Junior rooms by the pool has steps to go up to bedroom... horrible room - avoid at all cost (too hot, ac doesn’t reach room and steps are dangerous) I am 6 months pregnant and slipped down the last two steps scrapping my elbow and over-stretching my sides. -really thin walls could hear everything felt like people were inside our rooms during the day (nap times) but quiet during the night. Bring ear plugs!! They were a life saver during nap times when we had loud neighbors. -shampoos/bodywash were used prior to our visit so either they refill or they didn’t replace just a little weird since there was little hairs inside it -hard springy beds Made for a really uncomfortable night of sleep but so tired that I still slept. Need a chiropractor when I get home though!
Pros: -no bugs -WiFi in rooms and grounds work really well! -rooms overall clean (found some sand in tub and some hairs but that’s usual for hotels not too picky) -service was great/ people were extremely nice. Every time we sat outside the bartender Mario, would help open the sun umbrellas to provide shade. We moved our mattress downstairs because it was the middle of the night and the stairs were extremely dangerous for me to go down to pee in the middle of the night and it was over 80 degrees in the room to sleep; but it was very frowned upon since we didn’t ask permission (again it was late and we didn’t want to bother them but we understand that was rude we should’ve asked first! Our bad!) they switched our rooms after we explained what happened. So if you stay here DO NOT get room with steps (junior suite by the pool) no ac in bedroom! Unless you like hot rooms to sleep in and steps to climb down if you pee at night. -absolutely beautiful views (most hotels in Santorini will have great views but we walked around and this area is the best!) -good portion and yummy free breakfast brought to us in the morning -beautiful sunset location I preferred Imerovigli over over crowded Oiá, although I recommend checking Oiá out for the cute shops and eateries but I wouldn’t stay there during high season it was overcrowded and hard to...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I had an absolutely incredible time at Hotel Kallisto in April 2025! It exceeded our expectations in every possible way, and we wish we had stayed for longer than 3 nights to soak it up even more. Our stay was the highlight of our 16-day vacation. The service was outstanding! Even before arrival, there was clear and helpful communication from Antonio and Adele. Then on arrival, Adele gave us a wonderful orientation to Santorini along with personalized suggestions for our itinerary. Adele set up all of our organized activities (car rental for us to explore the south of the island, a great small group sailing cruise with awesome captains Antonio and Yorgos through the caldera) and transfers (hotel to ferry port). She coordinated all of this perfectly which entirely removed any stress we could have felt around arranging travel logistics. Adele's enthusiasm coupled with her wealth of knowledge and local connections is an incredible asset, even for savvy and experienced travelers who research! We were blown away by how warm, welcoming, and helpful all of the staff was, including the kind breakfast hostess and housekeepers. The positive energy and reliability of all at Hotel Kallisto greatly enhanced our relaxation and enjoyment of our vacation.
Regarding the amenities and facilities, everything was somehow even nicer than the photos capture. The view is spectacular and truly unbeatable (I researched many lodging options on Santorini and walked by most during our trip out of curiosity--Hotel Kallisto has the best view, a large pool by Santorini standards, AND an ideal location). Breakfast was exceptional, a perfect balance of being tasty and filling, also feeling luxurious without being too upscale or over the top to make us uncomfortable eating in our pijamas. Our maisonette room was much larger than we expected, everything was functional and comfortable, and we loved being right near the pool and at the highest point for the gorgeous...
