Our favourite place to eat in the whole of Santorini!! My partner and I spent 9 days in Santorini, throughout we tried so many different places as we were self catering and this was by far the best place. The portion sizes were really good for the price, the food was absolutely packed with flavour, the pork that my partner had was some of the juiciest meat we’ve ever had in our lives! The view from the restaurant was just beautiful and the waiters were extremely kind, helpful and delivered us the best customer service. If I’m honest, there are so many restaurants in Kamari and the reason we chose this one was because it was the only one on the entire strip that didn’t beg us or bother us whilst walking past. We found Kamari very enjoyable on the beach but walking on the pavement was so irritating when nobody would leave us alone trying to get us into their restaurant. This was the single only place that didn’t bother us and we really appreciated that from them. Unfortunately it seems we were not the only ones unhappy with this very quiet restaurant tonight. We ordered lamb kebabs and vegetables (one slice of soggy pepper and 2 slices of burnt tomato on the side) My daughter ordered salmon on a bed of rice with a colourful salad (this was iceberg with fig sauce on top). No colour! We told the waiter the rice was hard and uncooked. He said it was probably wild rice and would mention it to the chef. It was yellow rice! After that, no one came to see us for 40 mins when I went up and complained. They couldn’t understand what the problem was. Poor food, poor service and the most expensive restaurant all week. On our first evening in Greece, we were practically directed to Lemonia by a waiter. We were already very hungry after our trip and thought, why not? But we never expected to be so pleasantly surprised. The friendliness of the staff, the super tasty food and the service - everything was just right. On our return journey to Germany, we naturally spent our last evening at Lemonia again. It was a wonderful evening and the house-style rakomelo in particular was unsurpassed.
