As a pizza fan and a frequent visitor to pizzerias in different places of the world, especially those with a certificate, in order to compare flavors, unfortunately I have to give 1 star. Though I really should have gotten zero. Yesterday at 11:30, which is the opening time of the restaurant, we went to this pub (we wanted to celebrate anniversaries). The door to the restaurant was locked, but the service was inside, the waiter, seeing us, waved his hand not to enter. We waited 5 minutes, standing in the rain, hoping that someone would come out and say why the place is not open yet. Another 5 minutes have passed and nothing, we are still waiting in the rain, not knowing what's going on and the waiter was packing boxes and peeking at us from time to time, but he didn't think to tell von to us. Finally we knocked on the window and a boy from the kitchen came out (in my opinion it should be the waiter) and said they have a problem in the kitchen and you have to wait 20/30 minutes. Unfortunately, he did not suggest that we wait inside, only when we knocked about it himself, he agreed. after entering and taking a seat, the waiter did not even approach them, did not offer anything to drink, and I think that even if there was a problem in the kitchen, the kettle works rather, pouring water into a glass would not be that difficult either.finally, after 20 minutes of waiting, we went to another place, disappointed and disappointed by the lack of class and treating the client as an intruder and an...
Read moreI am from Napoli, living in Budapest for 5 years and this place is among the ONLY 2 PLACES having a REAL Napolitan pizza in Budapest , in 5 years I gave a chance to countless pizzerias and they all disappointed me so I KEEP COMING BACK, I mean this guys in Budapest, working with the tools and ingredients here MAKE THE BEST OUT OF IT, they can work the dough PROPERLY have a proper oven temperature and cook properly the pizza, I mean GOOD JOB, BRAVI!!, seriously. Have a margherita and you can taste the parmigiano as It should be (many places either don't add it or use the cheap fake one), the pizza border has air inside and it's properly cooked differently from many other places, the slice requires just a few bites to be chewed and melt in your mouth AS IT SHOULD BE. if you are planning to go to Napoli, first get a pizza here, cause if you don't like it here, unlikely you are going to appreciate...
Read moreI went to Hungary Budapest to finally try the Angry Margaritha challenge from Donna Mama. Looking at the european pizza challenges, in terms of numbers this has to be THE spiciest pizza in europe! The Horsepower sauce with it's 6.4 million scoville is luckily delicious. And delicious it was, this is one of my all time favorite pizza spots. The service was amazing and personal in a professional manner, the pizza was perfect in all the ways a Margaritha can be perfect! The place feels warm and inviting, which calmed my nerves for the challenge. After signing a waiver I managed to eat it in 6:40min, which was a bit easier thanks to the great flavor. Be aware tho, this challenge is not for beginners! Luckily the toilets are very clean. I will definetly come back here, both solo and with friends/compagnons. If you want to try Europes spiciest pizza, Donna Mama is the...
