Nov 2022 - From when we first booked our stay via hotels dot com until we arrived, there was very good communication with the staff. Any questions I had prior to leaving NI were answered, they were good with recommendations for during our stay, and offered their airport shuttle service too. On arrival (11pm due to a delayed flight!) we had trouble finding the front door 😅 Had read other reviews stating the same thing. The screenshot on Google maps shows the gate which is the entrance. There is a sign on the right of the gate but we still managed to walk past it several times!! 🙈 In the end I had to ring reception and get them to come out to us!!! The location is fantastic. Very easy to access all areas of Budapest. Tram stops just across the road and metro only a short walk away. You know when you research to find a hotel for your stay, they always show the photos of this amazing room? Well, when I booked this hotel I decided to upgrade our room..... we got that room!!!!! (although from the photos all the rooms are amazing!!!) Wow! Absolutely love our 'deluxe apartment' ❤️ Everything within the apartment that you could need for a few nights stay. We're on holiday so no plans of cooking, but the option is there if we fancy making something light. Breakfast is supplied in a basket which is hung outside your door each morning approx 8am. Ample food is supplied, but we decided to get a couple of extra items ourselves from the supermarket to mix things up a bit. Anything we don't eat we can leave in the basket for them to take away. The only negative about this residence is the noise outside. It is hard to sleep at times. I can't mark the hotel down as it's not their fault, although better sound proofing to the road outside would make a huge difference. Would I recommend Karoly Residences?...

It's really close to either metro or tram stations and the Petőfi tér (ferry quay). Close to downtown pest! And you definitely don't need to waste time on commuting! Great place to take a rest!

The woman and the thing man staffs are really nice! They helped me to book the sightseeing cruise (which is also fantastic), and helped me out a lot~! And their English is great, too! Sorry, as an Asian don't expect I can speak several western languages other than English. So, it's important!

The price is really reasonable. I booked a Deluxe Apartment. It has a big bathtub,a kitchen with 2 restrooms! To be honest, it's so comfortable that as I arrived I really considered not to go out too soon~

There are only a few defects. The bathtub water volume is too small. I assume you'll need 1.5 hr to fill up the whole tub. Though you don't really need it to be fully filled. You'll still need to fill it more than 40 mins so that the water can cover your chest. It's such a pity...

The breakfast is rather like picnic foods. Don't expect too much. Yet, the basket carried it in is quite cute and easy to get since they put it just beside your door. This is not bad.

Except those few defects. I believe you'll find it quite comfortable, relaxing...

booked this from hotels.com after going over reviews chose a 4 star hotel . Unfortunately was verry disappointed from room and service. We arrived late on Friday at 1:30am and where given room number 15, as soon as we entered the room we could smell a strange odder even through our corona masks. Both me and my friend smelled it. The first thing we did in the morning was to report this to the manager at the front desk and request to find a solution as the room reeks of a sewage smell. They told us they would check it. We then went out and came back in the afternoon and asked about our room and smell. The person at the desk then told us that the cleaning lady did not smell anything and she ventilated the room . That's it ! Instead of solving the problem or providing a solution they made some excuse! We then had to endure the sewage smell for the rest of our stay the ventilation did not help . It seems the smell came form some where in bathroom and effected the hole room. They should not sell this room in such a conduction. There where also other small issues like some previous customer left underwear in the cupboard of the bathroom and no one bothered to through it away. But the main and serious issue was the sewage smell throughout our...

The hotel is great! The bigest advantage is the location, next to the jewish center, and everything is walkable. We also liked the breakfast, is was more than OK. The Rooms are huge and very comfortable, everything was sparkling clean. The kitchen is fully equiped. Even though the hotel was full, we couldn't hear the other rooms. We had a beautiful balcony with a view to the boulevard. The E100 shuttle from the airport stops just by the hotel, and the pick up place is a 5 min walk (to the first station that guarantees a spot on the bus). *It's a bit hard to find the entrance , there is no sign, and when you find it it is unclear how to activate the intercom (press 5 and do not press the C). highly recomended.
