Em oi pho restaurant — Restaurant in Budapest

Wow! I love places like this. I wish people have more chance get to know them.

Location: Well... the place is close to Keleti-railway station however it’s not in the busy area so you need to walk a little. (Max 2-3 mins).

Customer service: The lady who’s responsible for taking the orders is one of the nicest person I met. She remembers her customers and there is that extra question: “How are you?” before you order something. A question like this warms up everyone’s heart and make you feel human.

About the food: As the quality of the food is also important when we dine out, let’s talk about it!

I’m not a “soup person” but I can confirm that they have the best soups in town! Especially the one with beef. It’s really nice, surprising flavors (hot-chili, lime, spring onions) will take all your bad mood away and you can taste something you have never tried before.

I’ve been there many times so this is not a first time experience. The prices are fine. Compering it to a fast food restaurant, this time you’ll pay the same amount but you will get an amazing, healthy food and...

EDIT after visiting two more times since mid march 2024: we have visited this place several times before and it was always very welcoming and great food, it looks now like they have different ownership, the food is definitely not as tasty and great as it was, thicker batter, less content, less taste and Pho that tastes like salted water, will not go back any more, will go the the Thai/Laotian place a bit further or to any other Pho place in Budapest, but definitely not to this one, one disappointment can be a miss, but going two times and both times being disappointed is just not...

Reason for 4 star: drinks are expensive. 490 ft for any drink. It's 330 ml.

One line comment: very very generous portion size, good service, feels like you are in Vietnam.

It's located not in the best part of the city. It's hidden/masked by the overpass. But don't judge yet before you enter and get served.

A man with a great smile greets you and takes your order.

Foods come out in 10 minutes. Not pre-made but made right after ordering.

Pho is delicious. A bit sweet for my taste bud. Ask for a hot pepper and you will experience FIRE from a Vietnamese pepper. Large size no1 is 2190 ft (Oct 2022)
