For the place to eat before heading home, we decided to leave the Hungarian Baths to some Hungarian food, and we came to heaven! Beef stew with potatoes dumpling divinal!! Goulash soup, "dava os meus langos", and the garlic potatoes melted our teeth The perfect goodbye to a country that received PM13 the best they could, they even hosted a marathon to thank him for being here 60% of the population ran there, while the other 40% kept businesses open and we're taking take that everything was as The Avenger wanted The staff very nice, service was pretty quick, since ordering, getting the food, and further attention, they even asked your God if he was cold and offered him 3 different type of blankets with different furs Australian people nearby loudly speaking aside, the best place in Hungary to have traditional and delicious food, people should be forbidden to speak more than 50 words per minute, how can someone speak so much and say nothing? Our strongest recommendation for sure, the Avenger leaves with a smile on his face, and protein levels for the day reached for the first time since Wednesday (with...
Read moreWent there with a friend while visiting Budapest and it was the best place we ate at the entire trip. I ordered the sandwiches with ham, chicken and cheese with a side of fries. She ordered the BBQ wings and fries. Both of our orders arrived relatively fast considering it was midday and the place was quite full. When the order arrived it smelled, looked and tasted wonderful. Despite the waiting time our order was still warm and tasty. The prices are really reasonable and I may even say quite low considering the quality and size of the food. The portion sizes are perfect. Not too much and not too less. We both left feeling well fed but not over stuffed. The overall atmosphere of the place is also really nice. It's sort of an urban/street style place without being in your face about it. Our waitstaff was also great help and really nice. If I go back to Budapest I would definitely go back there and I...
Read moreI live nearby, so I've eaten here a few times but every time I'm done, I promise myself that I will never return. A friend has suggested that we stop here for a quick lunch on the way home, and since it was nice weather, we sat down outside. I ordered something as simple as a chicken ceasar salad. I asked for the sauce to be placed separately - glad I did, as it was just a thick mayo, wouldn't classify as tartare. The salad was avarage at best, but just then I found a few half-rotten leaves (pictured) which again just proves that you can't safely stop here for anything more than just a drink! As usual, the food (soup as first round) took longer than 25 mins to arrive and the table service is carried out by nonchalant students (girls/ boys in their early 20's) so I'm finally confident that my prevous visits weren't just one-off accidents... This place truely deserves a...
