Run away, absolutely not recommended!
This was once a decent place but after the awful experience we had yesterday we will never return.
Food was worse than average, dry sushi, burnt gyoza, tasting like spent oil. The coke they brought was warm, they said they ran out of the cold ones so I decided to send that back. There are no words to describe the restroom. Awfully dirty, the tiny place filled with cleaning supply and boxes, simply disgusting. The waitress forgot to bring one dish out of the total six we ordered.
I’d definitely highlight the unacceptable behaviour of the waitress. When we wanted to pay, she said we had to wait for 10-15 minutes. Then she brought the bill, with the extra coke on it which had been sent back. When I told her that obviously we won’t pay for that she started explaining how that cannot be removed from the bill, and instead she will not add the 10% service fee. The 10% service fee was not written on our menu at all, wasn’t even listed on the bill. When I said I wouldn’t pay for the coke which we didn’t have and for sure I wouldn’t leave service fee for this bad quality of a service (especially that it wasn’t even written on the menu) she lost it completely. She started yelling, saying that the 10% service fee is obligatory and she wanted to do a favour for us by letting that go for the coke (which again was listed on the bill but we didn’t have), and that even though she forgot to bring one dish, she didn’t forget the other 5 so she deserved the service fee. The whole scene was awkward, we tried to handle it calmly and explain to her, but she simply didn’t listen, her reaction was not at all acceptable. At some point she even started touching me multiple times while shouting at me which I had to ask her to stop immediately. We finally managed to pay (took an overall 20+ minutes from the moment we asked for the bill) and even when we were leaving she kept shouting that she deserved the service fee and wanted to do a favour for us.
Overall, horrible experience, awful service and bad food, very dirty place, I wouldn’t not...
Read moreWe visited Budapest for a short break and discovered a wonderful little restaurant, Sushi Garden, located near Kalvin Ter station and not far from the Central Market. The area is charming and cozy, perfect for a winter evening stroll.
As we walked through the neighborhood, we were drawn to a stunning outdoor glass room, glowing warmly in the dark and cold winter night. Intrigued, we decided to sit in the glass room, which was warm and inviting, with blankets available for extra comfort.
We enjoyed hot tea, sushi, and ramen, savoring both the delicious food and the serene ambiance. Time seemed to slip away as we relaxed and soaked in the atmosphere. The service was exceptional—friendly and attentive.
We highly recommend Sushi Garden for anyone looking for great food, a cozy setting, and...
Read moreWe went for lunch. There is only one waiter. We waited for a long time for food. The most important point is that the sushi quality and the price doesn't match. The sushi are quite "fast food" type But The price is more than that.
I felt confused why The score is so high on Google for this restaurant. It's quite frustrating. As a restaurant, The food quality and taste is the key. Considering the service, waiter is hospital but the active interaction and talking doesn't compensate for low quality food and long waiti time.
So I felt quite awful when I saw the bill charged for service fee 10%. I think the experience I got there, It's not qualified to ask for this service fee. The seafood soup, it's more than "not tasty"...
All in all, long time waiting➕not tasty food....
