I was really excited to discover the thriving vegan food scene in Budapest. It meant I could enjoy traditional Hungarian dishes reinvented as vegetarian or vegan recipes. I showed up late on a Saturday night without a reservation, but luckily they still had tables available. The waiters were a bit slow taking orders—probably because the place was pretty busy—but that’s understandable. I tried the goulash, and it was delicious! The Hungarian cream cake was tasty too, but honestly, it was way too rich and creamy for me to finish on my own. Definitely a dessert meant for two or three people to share. All in all, it’s a great spot if you’re looking for good vegan food in Budapest.

Went here twice during our visit to Budapest. My party tried a variety of foods, the pictures attached are what I had. This restaurant is great if you are vegan and you would like to try some Hungarian food while in Budapest. Pictured are bean goulash, mushroom stew, and a Hungarian cottage cheese dessert. There are also schnitzels, pizzas, cream cakes, and plenty of other foods available on the menu. The food was fresh and tasty, my only reservation would be that it is rather pricey. Also probably best to make a reservation as the place was full both nights that we went - for good reason! Staff are polite, there are toilet facilities available, and it is in a good location.

Absolutely loved this place! Went with my partner (I am vegetarian, partner is not veggie/vegan). The atmosphere is very cosy, and the servers are very lovely! I absolutely loved my lemonade (passion fruit), and my partner liked mine so ordered one too. I loved my main (vegan brassói) and would get again! My partner ordered the children’s spaghetti and liked it. We then shared the chocolate fondant. The dessert wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but it was nice enough. Would not get the desert again. Hoping to come back and try other plates. Very very impressed overall. Came to under £35 for 1 adult main, 1 child main, 2 large lemonades and a desert.

Here’s the review:

I can’t recommend this restaurant enough! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and positivity that set the tone for an unforgettable experience. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with a vibe that immediately makes you feel at home.

Now, let me talk about Lala — the absolute star of the evening. Lala (L-A-L-A, you can’t forget a name like that!) was nothing short of phenomenal. He radiates kindness and an effortless charm that made every moment special. He took the time to explain the menu with so much enthusiasm and care, you could tell he genuinely loves what he does.

The food? Beyond incredible. Every dish was a masterpiece — fresh, flavorful, and creative. Whether you’re vegan or not, this is the kind of food that changes your perception of plant-based cuisine. It’s clear that the chefs here pour their heart into every plate.

But honestly, it was Lala who made the experience unforgettable. He has this magical ability to make you feel like family, like you’ve been coming here for years even if it’s your first visit. His attention to detail, sense of humor, and genuine friendliness were next-level.

If you’re looking for exceptional vegan food with service that goes above and beyond, this is the place. And if you’re lucky enough to have Lala take care of you, you’re in for a treat.

Thank you for a night I won’t forget — I’ll be back soon, and I’ll be telling everyone I know to...

I spent four unforgettable days in Budapest, and if there’s one thing I learned, it’s this: when you find a restaurant so exceptional that you have dinner there every single night, you’ve found something truly special.

From the very first bite, I was hooked. Every dish was a masterpiece. The Caesar salad was crisp and flavorful, the pizzas and pastas were absolutely divine, and the burgers? Let’s just say they deserve their own standing ovation. And then, of course, the grand finale—the Crème Brûlée. I don’t say this lightly: it was better than many I’ve tried in France. Yes, that good.

But as extraordinary as the food was, it was the warmth and hospitality that elevated the experience to something unforgettable. In particular, Renata—who was my server most evenings—brought a level of charm and kindness that made each visit feel like coming home to friends. She was attentive, genuinely friendly, and always greeted me with a bright smile that made an already amazing evening even better.

In a city full of incredible food and culture, this restaurant still managed to stand out as a highlight of my trip. Delicious dishes, heavenly desserts, and service that makes you feel truly welcome—what more could anyone ask for?

If you’re in Budapest, don’t just visit this place. Let it become your nightly ritual. Trust me—you’ll be...

I was excited to go here with my family, not having to worry about what’s vegan or not. I had fairly high expectations considering the area and the prices. I was unfortunately a bit disappointed in the flavors. We had the pancakes and bread and hummus for starters. The pancakes were heavy on the belly, not a light starter. The flavors were really bland, it was supposed to be spicy? Very heavy bland and boring. Sorry. The hummus tasted like mashed chickpeas, again - no flavors. We had kids nuggets, classic burger, schnitzel and the cauliflower on a bed of creamy peas. Burger and nuggets are what they are. We had to pay 500 HUF (!!!!!) for extra ketchup! The schnitzel came with mashes potatoes and it lacked sauce as a compliment or some vegs at least. Schnitzel was good, but boring with nothing to go with it. The cauliflower was delish!!! The Chardonnay was one of the best I’ve had!

Juices for kids were expensive and weird combinations.

Service was slow but staff was friendly, had to prop for their attention at all times. Had to ask for the menus, for more drinks, for desert menu and the bill. No proactiveness from their side.

All in all, not sure it’s worth the visit. I expected more for the hype and...
