Cool environment, great professionals working, really nice employers, trainers and the best team one could have. Super kind and smiling people. I don't understand how it goes so wrong.
It isn't for the members but to make cool pictures and find new members, the prices vary so much, so you may end up paying either 15000 for a month or 25000, why not a simple fair price. At some point people were entering for 2000 HUF for a course, but as there was no control they would use all facilities and stay over, some very noisy people came by, it was awful. On the other hand now, if I want to bring a guest I need to pay 4000 HUF. This makes clear that the club isn't premium at all, if you are a good member, a huge f*k you, they prefer the new ones.
Everything extra on the package is only for new members, if you renew your membership you don't get any of those.
The Jacuzzi and pool are dirty, the human fat on the stain parts would be so easy to clean, the roof on top of it had some problems with infiltration, fell apart and is like that for almost two weeks now. Pool sometimes is great to feel at the beach, like, you can step on the sand inside it.
Some members pee on the steam room. (of course a throwback of no clear targeted client) People rarely shower from the steam room to the Jacuzzi, one good reason? Most of the time the showers in the pool area have only cold water.
They changed the urinals in the man's restroom for no clear reason, it was simply working now it smells a lot and even gets clogged sometimes.
Blow driers stop working after 30~45 seconds, management said they were changing, back in November, it's February and...
Read moreGood fancy gym, great machines and classes and the best yoga teacher ever! But I dealt with a very annoying situation here: my condition to enter the gym was for a 11 month membership instead of a year one because I would be in Budapest for only 11 months and I lived there with a STUDENT scholarship (and this gym is expensive). The person said it was perfectly fine, I didn't need to worry at all, although the contract was for 12 I would cancel on the 11th telling them this was settled before. Being naive, I read and signed the contract and trusted the person. When I was leaving, they didn't want to let me pay 11 months instead of 12 as it was discussed before and I was very insistent on trying to solve my problem but the boss was never there, and then I decided to communicate via email and I was very mistreated and even threatened to be sued if I made this public. Conclusion: all they want is money and they do ANYTHING to get another membership. This would never happen in any other country where the customers are respected. Since Holmes Place is an international gym, I thought they would treat this case with minimal respect to...
Read moreI recently visited Go Fitness in Budapest with a 3-session pass.
The facility itself is good. Plenty of equipment, spacious layout.
However, my experience with staff was disappointing. Each time I arrived, the staff at the counter seemed uninterested. Perhaps it was the language barrier, or maybe because I’m not local (I’m from Australia), but despite always being polite and friendly, I felt more like a burden than a valued guest.
No one offered to show me around or explain where things like the equipment, change rooms, or pool were, which is a bit surprising. Back home in Melbourne, staff always make sure newcomers feel comfortable on their first visit, so maybe my expectations were too high in that regard.
As someone visiting Budapest for the first time, I’m making an effort to adjust, but the lack of warmth made the experience feel a bit impersonal. Still, the gym itself is very good if you already know your way around.
My opinion... Just go there to CLOCK IN...
