In short, completely overpriced, more expensive cocktails than we pay in Luxembourg! Pretentious bar trying to capitalise on senseless tourists with too much money and no taste. The food was unbelievably basic and overpriced. Considering the average cost in Budapest this place was a joke. I saw a review response saying they cater to internationals mostly, yeah because most locals won’t be able to afford to come here and tourists are being taken advantage of. A total rip off! The view is nice sure, but it is blocked by a big screen and just not worth the price for very average cocktails. We were guests at the adjoining hotel and were really disappointed with this place. When I stay in a nice hotel with a nice rooftop I expect to want to visit regularly and enjoy it, however we only went once not only because the price was unbelievable but since the other times it was full and we were denied entry. First of all you have to leave the hotel and go round the corner to access the bar, then you are greeted by a host of quite pretentious hosts. Wait for about 10 minutes for an elevator to take you up. Despite having booked for a table with nice view, we ended up on the worst table. Luckily asked to move and we were able to love to the sofas until 8pm only ( 2 stars are because they did agree to move us and overall the service was agreeable and competent). We had 4 cocktails, some fries ( fancily dressed up but it’s still just fried potato for about 15 euros) , fried green peppers, and some bread with truffle butter which was literally just one piece of bread with some truffle butter and some meat.. very weird… This ridiculous excuse for tapas and cocktails costs us about 120 euros! Also the toilets are very weird, the sink to wash your hands after the toilet is in the middle of the restaurant. So you come right out of the toilet and wash your hands in front of all the guests.. for me that is still an intimate moment so it felt very awkward. Do not recommend! Unfortunately you are not spoiled for choice when it comes to nice places with a view, good food and decent prices in this city. It seems like having outdoor seating and a view is a license to overcharge and underdeliver!

I wouldn’t recommend! We recently visited Leo Rooftop in Budapest, and while the bartender lady with short hair and a cute smile was amazing and incredibly polite, the overall experience was disappointing due to poor service. We had booked a table on the terrace a month in advance, but when we arrived, the bad experience started. A couple who was already there trying to get in without a reservation was seated first, without the hostess even consulting us, despite us having the reservation. We were then seater next to the area where people were standing in a circle and continuously smoking. The bartender was fantastic, but the hostess was manipulative and dishonest. We couldn't have a proper dinner because eating at a bar stand is not comfortable, so we ended up having only our favorite snack and drinks. To make matters worse, the manager next to us was eating a gorgeous steak but when we asked for the same dish, we were told they couldn’t cook it for the guests because it was only for the manager. This inconsistency and lack of professionalism were very saddening. Despite these issues, the delightful and courteous bartender lady was a bright spot in our visit. We would not have stayed if the hostess had been upfront from the beginning about not being able to seat us on the terrace for our booked table. We stayed an hour until the table was free but we were not seated there. When it was available we kindly reminded the hostess about our existence , but it was claimed to have been booked. An hour later when we were leaving the table was still vacant, no people were there. Overall, while the entertainment and some staff were excellent, the service needs significant improvement.

✨The Best View in the City✨ If you're looking for a rooftop bar with the best view in Budapest, Leo Rooftop is the place to be. From the 8th floor, you get a stunning panorama of the Chain Bridge, Parliament, and Buda Castle—what more could you ask for? While it’s not the highest rooftop in town, Budapest doesn’t have many taller buildings, so you’re still getting an incredible vantage point. 🍸 Drinks Leo’s signature cocktails are as impressive as the view—visually stunning and carefully crafted. However, they are on the pricier side compared to other cocktail bars in the city, averaging around 15 EUR per drink. 🍽 Food The menu consists of small plates, but they are upfront about it: "The portions are smaller, but more variable than in a classic restaurant." They offer vegetarian options, and I tried the Angus beef mini burgers—delicious, but nothing groundbreaking. The chocolate brownie, on the other hand, was absolutely perfect, especially if you have a sweet tooth. ⭐ Service & Atmosphere Reservations are highly recommended—they meet you downstairs and take you up by elevator. Plenty of staff means you won’t be waiting long. The service is kind and professional. The ambiance is elegant, sophisticated, and modern—ideal for a special night out. 💰 Worth it? At Leo, you’re paying for the view, but if that’s what you’re after, it’s absolutely worth it. A stylish rooftop experience with a breathtaking backdrop—perfect for a sunset cocktail or a romantic evening. 🌇

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Unforgettable Experience at Leo Rooftop!

From the moment my two friends and I stepped onto the terrace of Leo Rooftop, we knew we were in for something special. This was our first visit to Budapest, and Leo was the very first restaurant we chose—what a phenomenal choice! The atmosphere was absolutely captivating, with breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the Danube below. It’s the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the beauty of Budapest from above.

Our experience was elevated even further by our waiter, Csabi, who provided truly exceptional service. He was warm, attentive, and effortlessly made us feel welcome. Csabi’s charisma and attention to detail were unmatched—he was always there at just the right moment, making sure we had everything we needed while adding a personal touch that made our evening feel even more special. His performance, paired with the excellent service, made the night absolutely unforgettable.

As for the food—it was out of this world! Every dish was crafted to perfection, bursting with flavor and fresh ingredients. The grapevine was particularly outstanding, paired perfectly with the delectable cuisine. Every bite was a testament to the chef's artistry.

We couldn’t have asked for a better start to our trip. Leo Rooftop has set the bar incredibly high for any future dining experiences. We will definitely be back, and we highly recommend this stunning venue to anyone looking for an evening of amazing food, stellar service, and unparalleled views. Thank you, Leo Rooftop, and a huge shoutout to Csabi for making our night so memorable!

Leo Rooftop deserves to thrive, and after experiencing this gem, we know it...
