Let's be real. You've been to Altair, to Sirius and Vörös OroszlĂĄn. And don't get me wrong, they are great tea houses (see my reviews!). But, if here is one place in Budapest that's aimed for authentic tea enthusiasts (or enthusiasts of authentic tea!) this is it. đŸ” The owner is visibly passionate about tea and happy to share this knowledge in a non-patronising way recommending teas to fit your preferences and mood. Even if you're not familiar with any tea or with gong fu brewing, you won't feel out of place here. 💕 In Zhao Zhou, savouring tea is a full experience, where the choice of tea is just one part of it. A lot of attention is paid to the atmosphere created with a soothing decor and to the journey that drinking tea can become. (I don't mean to sound mystical 😂). Whether alone or with a fellow tea-fan, reserve minimum 1.5 hours for a tea-savouring visit. Let yourself for once do something mindfully and see how spacious your mind will feel afterwards. (Ok, I'm mainly giving this advice to myself here.)

The best tea spot in Budapest hands down. The staff are super knowledgeable and happy to talk about tea, had an in-depth conversation with one and gained a lot of new knowledge. While the space is small and sometimes can be hard to find seating the view over the river along with some tea is the most tranquil experience the snacks they also offered me that day were really high quality. Also went back a few days to get my daily matcha latte and you can't go wrong. They have a great selection to purchase from and I personally got myself Georgian black tea and some Puer's. Highly recommend if you want somewhere to go after a long day of walking or somewhere to take a nice break.

What a pleasant experience! The matcha was succulent, creamy and left a sweet note. They were very kind and friendly. Initially I wanted an iced matcha latte but it was still early in the spring so they were unable to do that. However, the lady suggested that she can make me matcha served on top of ice cream and it turned out so well. So yes, service 10/10. The place is very zen and the location is great. A nice place to enjoy a cup of tea. I also bought some matcha powder to try at home and it’s best matcha you can find in Budapest I dare say. A very good quality matcha ones. I 100% recommend this place.

Best tea house in Budapest! It was the best tea experience I had in Europe so far, and definitely worth the trying to get into the tea house with the tricky opening hours The owners are very interesting people, intellectual and nice to talk to. It felt more like a Michelin restaurant rather than a simple tea house, yet with simplify atmosphere that makes you calm down and just enjoy a perfect tea I would really recommend to anyone who want to calm down and have a wonderful tea experience to come and try this place

P.S- They do have really good chinese moon cakes and all their dishes are uniquely handmaded by hungarian clay artist, so don't forget to...
