Read moreVery over priced food and not worth the quality . Tried to pay with a 10,000 note which was a little bit creased and the very rude waiter would not accept it, he was very rude and sarcastic when I asked why . This resulted in me having to pay by card and being charged even extra than the prices they already have. After finished eating we went to the budha castle on the funicular and the woman accepted the note without any question despite the waiter stating 'no where in hungary will accept this and you are not in England now ' overall I felt very awkward as the waiter made a situation in front of all the resturaunt which was embarrasing. Also after paying with card the waiters were talking between themselves in hungarian and looking and pointing over to our table , and you could tell that they were not saying pleasant thing's. Along with all this, the two most delicious sounding dishes on the menu; ( the salmon and the pork ) were not available, leaving a choice of maybe 6 or 7 dishes . Finally I ordered the beef burger which was nice, but very basic . Overall I would not recommend at all . ( just to add this is the first review I have ever written so it must take something for me...
Read moreThe best food we had in our 14 days trip to the three cities (Prague, Budapest, Vienna). Everything about the food was a notch better than the rest of the restaurants we visited. The amount, preparation and taste of the dishes were perfect, service was relatively quick, and the location is suitable for a quiet dinner as it is on the Buda side, which is not much crowded after evening. Also we found the prices were reasonable as well. Overall a class restaurant to visit if someone is there for more than few nights. I have taken out one star because of the experience when we were paying bills. I understand in Europe, sometimes service charge is already added to the bills and you can add few extra bucks on top of it. However, we were hurried to provide extra 15% as the server said tip was not included. In general we were never asked to provide extra when service charge was already included, and it was our discretion to add more. We are well versed to add 10-20% of tips to the bill as we do here in USA. But I felt the approach of the server somewhat inconvenient and misleading. Other than this one bad moment, I highly recommend this restaurant for a...
