Absolute chaos, very poor service, most disappointing experience of my life
I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at Leo Bistro, and I must say it was nothing short of a disaster from start to finish. My family and I had booked a table for six well in advance, even reaching out to the manager to ensure everything would be in order. Unfortunately, our night was marred by a series of frustrating and disappointing events.
First, upon arrival, the hostesses were unable to locate our reservation. We stood waiting for an unreasonably long time, which was not the welcoming experience we had hoped for. Once they finally found our reservation, there was no one to guide us to our table. This lack of basic organization set the tone for the rest of the evening.
When we finally made it to our table, we discovered it had been triple-booked. Other groups arrived claiming the same table, leading to a confusing and uncomfortable situation. It was astonishing to see such a lack of coordination, especially after I had specifically requested a table for six from the manager.
To add insult to injury, we had paid 60,000 HUF in total for tickets that included welcome cocktails, unlimited champagne for 1.5 hours, and small bites. However, the service was abysmal. The servers seemed indifferent to our presence, forcing us to constantly remind them to refill our glasses. Not once did we receive the welcome cocktails we were promised.
We also had to chase both the servers and the manager to get what we had paid for, which was incredibly frustrating. The small bites that were part of the package were insufficient, and we were even told we needed to share, leaving us hungry and dissatisfied.
Moreover, the atmosphere was far from enjoyable. The music was extremely loud, making it difficult to have a conversation without shouting.
Overall, the experience at Leo Bistro was deeply disappointing. From the chaotic booking situation and inattentive service to the insufficient food and excessively loud music, it was a night we wish we could forget. I would not recommend Leo Bistro to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience.
The manager reached out to me personally and offered a complimentary dinner to make up for the unpleasant experience. The whole evening was a complete turnaround from my prior visit, and I appreciate the effort they made to ensure everything was perfect. They also remembered my birthday, so thank you to the team at Leo Bistro for their excellent service and delicious food. The food was incredible, and the overall experience was vastly improved. I truly appreciate their efforts to rectify the situation and would like to commend them for their...
Read moreIm very disapointed at the service and the food . Im starting whit the drink. I did ordered a cocktail and when I received Im was very pleased the presentation until I started to try it.out. The glass was filled with a solid ice piece with a candy on the top.I had a hard time to insert the straw because the ice was taking all the room and almost nothing for the drink what I paid for. I could drink only 2 little sips and the drink was gone. Next issue I ordered a roast duck breast which was completely raw for me.I did called the lady whoo served me and I told her If I know that your restorante make the duck like this I would ask for well down. So I asked her to take it back and tell the cook to make it for well. She took it and bring it back after 20 minutes.but it was the same as before. The meat was completly cold, the skin of the duck was just like the same as you buying from the store. When I put the meat in the Owen first thing is the skin get a nice color..This duck had no color at all.and tasted completely raw not only for me for my wife too. I did left the whole duck there and I eat only the potato what I ordered for side dish. After the unpleasant diner I asked for a Caffe Americano. This was my third disappointment The coffee was completely cold and tasted like they filed up whit top water Insted of hot one. I believe they did it on purposely because I complained abouth the duck. I did saw the cook and the waitress locking me and smiling to see my face when I tasted The coffee. I fund this very rude specialy when the waitress came and asked me while she was smiling if the duck was dunn right and did I liked?.I did told her no and you know your guys did not do anything to it anyway. She kept smiling and asked me if we want to have any dessert, but i did not wanted anything anymore from this place. I did paid &110 00 which was way to high and left without live any tip.Everybody knows me as Im a very good tipper but not this time and Im newer koming here again and definitely won't recommend this place to anyone..If I could I would give this place a...
Read moreActually by staying right next to it for 3 Days, having no clue there's an incredible restaurant nearby.
Was trying to find a place to have my dinner after the Concert at St. Michael church in Pest area, so disappointed that on Saturday night (of course!) all the restaurants in that area were fully occupied.
Had no choice thus took bis 105 back to Clark Adam Square, randomly checked surrending dinings from GoogleMaps then found this Leo Bistro.
Hmm, all ranked 5 Full score but ONLY 17 people, should I try it or not?
After entering the door a lady about to leave happily asked if she could recommend me some dishes served here, holy moly, this certainly is not common to see.
Decided to give it anyway a try, hooray! Here we go, no BS, the whole experience can't be better!
All staffs are polite, friendly and know their dishes so well, ordered the just-met lady's recommended Sült Cèkla(roasted beetroot) Mamamia, really impressive, this should be only served in Michelin Guided restaurants
The main course picked I the Borjúpofapörkölt(veal cheek stew), followed the sweet waitress' suggestion for Türós Csusza(Cottage Cheese noodles) as side dish (be careful, big portion though delicious), the veal cheek stew again served above standard, tender taste with excellent flavoring, the chopped shallots made it tasted even more like an art masterpiece, remember to order a glass of Carbernet Sauvignon (my favorite), they have 2019/2020 one, new but still has CS's thick wine body taste
The dessert part is the most surprising dish, the server recommended something NOT LISTED, the Mèzes Krèmes, according to her, it's a commonly seen Hungarian homemade dessert, but...check the photos I shared here, it looks again like an art piece, and the sauer cream with the mango flavored one brought me again up to the heaven, here you may need a cup of double espresso to save you back on the earth. : P
Now I'm convinced by the reviews seen on...
