Manna Lounge — Restaurant in Budapest

This is a true five star place, exceptional service, exceptional food, you will find something special about each dish. I was really impressed with the fine touches of the staff:they were attentive to the point where the server made sure to say good bye while we left. The food: I tasted two starters, a duck liver and a tuna - angler carpaccio. The duck liver was way above expectations, it simply blew me away, I think it was the best I had so far in my life. The walnut bread was a great compliment. The carpaccio is also recommended, I like the way it is layered as a chess board. The main again was a treat, I really liked the side, it was lentil in a way I never had a chance to taste it before. The dessert was a true ending to the meal, again a masterpiece of chocolatey goodness :-)

Az ételekről: Két előételt kóstoltam, a kacsamáj szerintem életem legjobb kacsamája volt, a mellé adott diós kenyér méltó párja volt. A főétel körete lencse volt, amely elgondolkodtatott arról, hogy szeretem-e a lencsét (mert eddig azt hittem, hogy nem) A desszert maga a csokoládé...

Mixed experience. I have visited this place twice so far, both times it was for the Sunday brunch.

The first time I was quite happy with the quality of the food, the dishes were interesting, and there were also plenty of vegetables available.

The second time the quality was much worse, there were almost no vegetables, and the meat dishes were a a lot more mundane and u interesting. The wine was also of lower grade.

Overall this has been a mixed bag for me, and I don’t think I will return anytime soon, as I don’t think it really is worth it for the relatively high price. Maybe if you are a large family looking to spend a couple hours there and celebrate a birthday or may be worth it. Other than that, there are much better...

We had lunch here. Place is nice, interior is quite simple, it seems they have a terrace but obviously was not working at winter. Service was very good, all waiters were polite, dishes were prepared quickly and looked very good, you can see it on the pictures. We loved appetizers, they have various meat, vegetarian options and also soup. Main dish menu also has great variety, they are being creative with textures. We noticed some lack of flavor, for example chicken was supposed to have truffle notes but we didn’t feel it. We also didn’t like their deserts much - honey cake was too sweet and chocolate cake was too bitter, they didn’t balance flavors...
