Honestly the worst place I ever set foot in, we literally only sat down on the chair and the waitress came over and asked did we want anything, we asked for two cokes and she just looked at me with such an attitude and said is that all you want and I said can we have two cokes and that we would order food in a minute as we didn't know yet what we wanted,. She rolled her eyes and Shaked her head and muttered under her breath and walked off. This was so embarrassing as people could see this, she went to one of the other waiters and said something to him and he came over and asked what we wanted. He wasn't friendly either out of pure shock I asked for the drinks. And we left straight after. We got up and paid and as we are paying she came over to the person who was taking the payment and whispered into his ear. Not sure what she was saying probably trying to cover her own back , I was shocked because I had to pay a service charge aswell for that attitude. I never in my life met someone so rude and disgusting, I'm cringing thinking of her doing that to somebody else. The food wasn't anything special on the menu. The location of this cafe is convenient because it's right after you walk through buda castle. Please hold out and go somewhere else Budapest has so many more lovely restaurants, with such friendly welcoming people. Thank God this wasn't the first restaurant we set foot in on this trip, because it honestly would have...

There is a reason this is poorly rated. The location is central, the cakes look very appealing BUT: they do not seat you - walk in and find a table - which hasn’t been cleared, desperately make eye contact with staff to get their attention to clear the table, then realise they haven’t wiped it down, ask them to wipe it down onto for them to begrudgingly wipe half -while you watch in both awe and disgust at the zero care or sanitation given. The waiter was exceptionally RUDE to my friend when she was deciding what to order and he decided to huff and puff out of frustration and SIT beside her waiting in a passive aggressive manner. We Order from their sticky menu - I’ll spare you and tell you that the ONLY thing worth going in for is the pistachio cake and coffee. The ‘French fries’ are actually home made looking chunky / oddly cut fried potatoes. They forgot half of my order (but still managed to bill us for it). Asked for the bill 3 times, it took 35-40mins just to receive it and then ask for the 15% service charge to be removed - which wasn’t. Paid and rushed out SO QUICKLY. Never to return...

We were there yesterday with my mom and my little daughter of 3,5 we wanted to order quite a lot of cakes and salty products for takeaway. The place was half empty and the service people were standing and joking around. Doing basically nothing. We we’re patiently waiting in front of the counter with another family (2 women and a boy, around 6). We were waiting around 10 minutes no one did give a f about us nor the other family. So as I am Hungarian I asked them if we can order. They answered in a phlegmatic way that we can as someone will be there. We were waiting further time when the other (tourist) family also complained about this long waiting, meanwhile the useless staff chatting and not caring. So finally some shameless, twentysomething, blode girl showed up in the counter and made cimments and a face like she is doing us a favor. So finally she started to serve the other family so slow as possible. We left at this point and got tonns of great retes at other place. Simply outrageous service. Just...

This is a solid eatery. For being adjacent to a tourist site, the food prices were actually quite reasonable. The establishment struck me as a place where desserts came first and they started adding to the menu to capture more customers. The main dishes were good but not great. Desserts were excellent. In particular, I highly recommend the brownie. Super chocolatey, great constancy of dense and moist, and pretty plating. The restaurant was quite busy when we arrived, but they turned over tables fairly quickly. If I was looking for a break from sightseeing and needed a sweet fix, I would stop here again.

The atmosphere and the design of the cafe is really nice. The prices are also reasonable. We are not fascinated by the service, even though the cafe was not full and there were only 2 tables except us, it took them a lot of time to take the order. The lemonades which we ordered were pretty, maybe a bit too sweet, especially cherry and orange lemonades. The lime-mint lemonade tested like a lime juice fully, but not the real one. Anyhow, for a quick coffee, maybe it is a good place, but I am not sure if it's gonna end up being quick and nice :)
