Good tasty food but poor presentation considering the expense for what it was. Cheeseburger and fries, 2 aperol spritz, bottle of water and club sandwich. Over €60 Inc service charge. Also charged for small pots of ketchup and mayonnaise. Initial service rude. Asked for tap water, got a categorical no. Then my wife asked to move to a table out of the sun which caused all the staff to panic, eventually the rude bald man with glasses moved us but made it clear he wasn’t happy as it was a table for 4 and we were only 2. This is despite other tables of 4 being occupied by 2 or less (locals?) and plenty of tables free. Disappointed with the food and the rip off prices. Wouldn’t recommend for food, there are better places and I won’t be going back again. €2 for tiny pots of ketchup and mayonnaise is a joke and just a way of a business extracting as much as they can out of the tourist trade.

Last week we sat in this bar hoping for good food since we were pretty hungry. I ordered their ‘special’ salad with chicken, apples and pears. My boyfriend ordered a mozzarella poke bow. I'll start with my dish - the chicken was worse than the frozen chicken from the market, the pear was from the can, and the apples were nowhere to be found! In the picture you can see that for the most part the plate was covered with lettuce, which costs € 0.5 in the store. The mozzarella poke bowl was also desperate, if a dish with three mozzarella balls can be named mozzarella poke bowl then I really don’t know. All in all, a VERY VERY BAD experience for € 35. The waiter was very polite, and for the staff this bar would get a clean ten, but the food isn’t even for a zero.

What a delightful surprise! While wandering Váci Street, we impulsively dropped by this restaurant for a drink and were met with an incredibly friendly and helpful manager. Their thorough explanations of the menu led us to try a scrumptious combination of a hamburger, eggplant dip, and a sushi assortment from the Asian selection. The flavors were exquisite, and the presentation was impressive. While it's not the most budget-friendly option, the outstanding quality makes it a worthwhile experience. Highly recommended – don't miss out on the exceptional drinks too!

I am editing this review after I had some time to think about what actually happened.

We found a table outside and moved towards it (no sign said we should wait for someone to seat us). A very passive aggressive waiter shouted hello and made us understand that we misbehaved by not asking if we can sit.

The rude behaviour continued throughout our entire stay. We ordered starters and main courses. Every dish was way too salty and to honest not very good. When it came to paying the bill the attitude of our waiter changed completely! He arrived with 2 glasses of (horrible) sparkling wine and two printed business cards that included a QR code. He then continued to "guide" me to the establishment's Google review site and showed me where to rate them with 5 stars. He literally said, "click 5 stars and write something nice", I mean after all I had just received 2 entire glasses of alcohol for free, the least I can do is praise Marty's!

Maybe try and ACTUALLY be nicer to your guests, serve them proper food and maybe don't charge them a mandatory 15% service charge that is hidden in the fine print and you will receive honest reviews in the future. Until then, you should be ashamed of the business you...

The service was absolutely terrible both times I was there. The hostess could not find our booking, and accused me of not even reserving a table, when I asked to see the book my name was the only one on the page. She did not apologise, and once I sat down she was constantly looking at me and talking to her colleagues and laughing. Unprofessional. The cocktails were good. During my second visit there the waitress was also extremely unprofessional. Let's start with the fact that her nails and fingers were dirty, which we noticed when she brought us the complimentary bread basket. Once she put the bread down on our table two people sat down at the other table next to us, they asked what the bread basket contained. The waitress just lifted up our bread basket and brought it to their table and put it down in front of them to look at it. We were stunned, just sitting at our table waiting to get the bread back, which by the way was neither fresh, nor tasty. We ordered croque madam, it was quite terrible. Overall, it is a pretty looking place in a very good location, I had high hopes for it, but it seems like the management, and therefore the service is not good, and that can ruin a...

GUYS IF YOU SPEAK RUSSIAN BETTER NOT TO GO THERE!!! And that is the reason why. It was worst experience ever. I haven't expected to face discrimination in the middle of Budapest. I live in Hungary, but my friends came to visit me from Ukraine. We were choosing where to go, to try good traditional Hungarian dessert and were advised to go to this place. First impression of food was good, but not of staff. They were unfriendly and visibly irritated with us. Because with other guests they were very friendly. I was ok with that, probably bad day, maybe my own perception. But then we realized that they were serving free glass of wine this day. They brought wine to every table except ours. My friends were upset and asked that's because we speak Russian? Horrible feeling. I decided to ask the waiter. She apologized and asked if we want wine. Of course, no. It was just a matter of fact. Of 3 people who served: bartender and 2 waiters, 1 waiter was really nice: blonde girl, unfortunately haven't...
