Overpriced, Disappointing, and Poor Service Not Worth It

I recently ate at Mokka Cuka, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in Hungary. While the service initially felt welcoming, the execution of the food and the response to mistakes were extremely disappointing.

I ordered Eggs Benedict and specifically requested sauce on the side and avocado cream on the side. When my dish arrived, it was not what I ordered. I immediately told the waiter, who apologized and said there must have been a miscommunication with the kitchen. However, he did not offer to fix the dish or remove it from the bill. Simply apologizing does not make up for serving the wrong order. In my opinion, the meal should have been taken off the bill, as this mistake was entirely on their side.

The food itself was overpriced and not delicious. My husband ordered the Mokka Toast, which he said was just “okay,” and he’s had much better versions elsewhere.

We ordered two meals and one bottle of filtered water, which came to $42.18 USD. Absolutely not worth it. If you are paying these prices, you expect both good food and proper service, neither of which were delivered here.

Bottom line: The food is mediocre, the service is lacking when mistakes happen, and the prices are far too high. I strongly recommend going somewhere else. This restaurant does not live up to...

This café has nice ambiance and well made and beautifully presented coffee where they dye their milk with natural food dye. Unfortunately, the food wasn't anything memorable. I had a cappuccino which was surprisingly mild considering it was a dark roast. The eggs benedict with avocado cream were okay but the avocado cream became a bit anonymous flavour and texture wise with all the sauce and runny yolks. I would have preferred a chunkier avocado mash so the texture was noticable, and with fresher flavours. Salad was plain and boring and could have easily been elevated with a touch of a simple vinaigrette.

Their homemade citrus lemonade was fresh with subtle flavours. I missed a bit of kick on the flavours but if you don't want something overpowering, this is a great option.

Service was generally good, the waiter was smiling and very welcoming as soon as I came in but as the place got busier, it was hard to get eye contact when I wanted to pay. So a bit unattentive during busier times.

Overall, an okay café but I don't think I would return based...

Perfect. Perfect. I cried so much when I bit into the Mc Benedict with matured Hungarian ham. It was a legend, a master piece. A slice of melted heaven drenched over the soft bossom of the most gently cooked poached eggs. The powerful essence of the matured ham, resolved ever so sweetly, with the mild gentle embrace of melted cheese. All built on top of a well structured deeply flavoured bun.

Absolute, perfection. I had not known the depth of my sorrows could be brought out and resolved, with a single bite of this gorgeous, blessed creation. A dish that brought salvation to my hunger, and my internal struggles.

If there ever was a cure for uttermost frustration of the flestering agony that is life, it would be this glorious McBenedict. A rare find, that is truly worthy to be a benediction to all mankind. Blessed is this exalted dish. I. Love. It.

Forgive my cheesiness, it overlowed from...
