Just about everything you would love to have in a bakery. During my stay in Budapest I visited twice since I felt it would be a sin not to try some more of their delicious pastry before I leave. I had tried the chocolate roll, pain au chocolat and finally the cinnamon roll. All of it was absolutely amazing although the cinnamon roll would have to be my favorite as it has orange zest in it which makes for a great combination. The staff was very kind and they were willing to help me choose from their offer. Finally the place itself was pleasant and cozy as well and I would recommend you to take a seat on the second floor with the view on the street. Well that's about my review. This bakery is definitely one of the things that I will miss about Budapest.

Update: Came back after a year and it might have been even better than I remembered! This time I've tried some more of the sweet pastries and would definitely recommend the traditional chocolate roll (csokis csiga) and then the pistachio croissant which was absolutely magnificent. As for the staff they're still as amazing and the nice environment together with the great service and best pastries you will ever have just made each of my mornings better. So thanks for the wonderful experience and hope for another one of your bakeries opening up in...

This was probably one of my favorite bakery, brunch, breakfast, lunch, café on any kind of day place in Budapest so much so that I went twice on my trip and I made sure it was my last meal in Budapest. I’m just sad that I did not know this existed the first two times that I went to Budapest because I probably would’ve went every single morning. Amazing Chai latte, amazing quiche, and I cannot begin to explain the amazing pistachio croissant everyone should experience just once in their life, and the coffee was phenomenal. The tuna sandwich and the homemade rolls were amazing and I did not know when I was eating it. It was dairy free and honestly, I couldn’t even tell now that I know. Can’t wait to go back and try all the baked goods. My only regret is that I didn’t take some of my those baked goods on the train with me so I could’ve tried more things, and what to try, the homemade baked goods and the cheesecake looks so good. I just didn’t know what to choose, so that just means I have to come back, and I’ve I lived there I would definitely make it a weekly meet up with the girls or a a...

I used to like this place, as it has a nice atmosphere, a big variety of bakery products and also lunch options. However I was really shocked about a month ago. I ordered a sandwich and after a bite I realised that the salad has traces of dirt on it!! I showed it to the girl at the counter and she acted like this is something normal!!! She said "yes, it can happen, what can I do"! I was speechless... She didn't even bother to apologise. She only did so when I asked for it as a reply to her stupid "What can I do" remark! Eventually I chose a baked product as a substitute (as didn't have time to go somewhere else) and even though it was much cheaper than the sandwich she didn't even think to give the difference back (I'm not even saying to offer me the full price back and the substitute for free as an apology). I realised that they owe me when I was about to leave and thankfully she didn't make any further trouble. It's not my first year in Budapest and I've experienced many cases of poor customer service but I was not expecting it in this place....

Lui is my absolute favorite coffee shop and bakery in Budapest! I’m obsessed with their croissants, especially the savory one with ham and cheese. It’s so good that I keep coming back for it! The place itself is super cozy and has such a nice, welcoming atmosphere. The bakery selection is amazing, they have a huge variety of pastries. They also offer some great brunch options if you want something more than coffee and pastries. The staff are always very kind and friendly, which makes the experience even better. It’s a popular spot and often quite full, and honestly, that says a lot, sometimes they even run out of pastries because they’re just that good! I truly love this place. It’s one of those cafés that makes you feel happy just being there. Highly recommend!
