Tulipán Bistro — Restaurant in Budapest

It's was the second time coming here, last year we've been to Tulipan for the first time and the food is great and the services is amazing. The waiters really deserve a raise 😅 they are always smiling, they are extremely nice and polite. We didn't find a table on the terrace and they told us that as soon as one remains free they will inform us and we can go outside. Since they were pretty busy we tought maybe they would forget but they didn't and very soon we were able to switch tables. The dishes are large, extremely tasty and they don't have a ton of dishes to choose from but the ones they have are extremely tasty. Next time we are in Budapest we will return...

My recent visit to Tulipan in Budapest was highly disappointing. The 47€ price tag for three medium meals and soda was excessive, especially considering the underwhelming quality of the food.

The beef stew had an unpleasant taste, and the fish soups lacked any fish flavor, tasting more like chicken instead.

The male bathroom was in a deplorable state, with visible excrement on the toilet. I have attached photos and a recipe to support my claims.

I cannot recommend this “restaurant” due to its high prices, subpar food, and unsanitary facilities. Management should urgently address these issues.

Odwiedzając Budapeszt, postanowiłem zjeść w tej restauracji węgierskiej, która niestety okazała się sporym rozczarowaniem. Moje danie, które miało być pyszną wołowiną duszoną w winie z ziemniakami, zostało szybko zepsute przez znalezienie włosa w jedzeniu. Choć kelner zareagował profesjonalnie, szybko wymieniając danie i oferując niepłacenie za posiłek, uważam, że to nie wystarczyło, by zrekompensować tak nieprzyjemne doświadczenie.

W takiej sytuacji oczekiwałbym, że restauracja w pełni weźmie odpowiedzialność za swój błąd i zrekompensuje nam całe zamówienie, a nie tylko moje danie. Niestety, cena została jedynie obniżona o koszt mojego posiłku, co moim zdaniem jest niewystarczające. Podróżuję po całym świecie i po raz pierwszy spotykam się z taką sytuacją. To, co miało być przyjemnym wieczorem, zakończyło się niestety sporym rozczarowaniem. Zdecydowanie nie polecam tej restauracji, szczególnie biorąc pod uwagę podejście do klientów w sytuacjach kryzysowych.

Budapesti tartózkodásom alatt úgy döntöttem, hogy kipróbálom ezt a magyar éttermet, amely sajnos nagy csalódást okozott. Az étel, ami egy ízletes borban párolt marhahús burgonyával kellett volna legyen, hamarosan kellemetlen meglepetéssé vált, amikor egy hajszálat találtam benne. Bár a pincér professzionálisan reagált, gyorsan kicserélte az ételt, és felajánlotta, hogy nem kell kifizetnem a rendelésem, úgy gondolom, hogy ez nem volt elég ahhoz, hogy kompenzálja a kellemetlen élményt.

Ilyen helyzetben azt várnám el, hogy az étterem teljes mértékben felelősséget vállaljon a hibájáért, és az egész rendelésünket kártalanítja, nem csak az én ételemet. Sajnos, az ár csak az én ételem költségével lett csökkentve, ami véleményem szerint nem elegendő. Világszerte utazom, és először találkozom ilyen helyzettel.
