READ UNTIL END BEFORE VISITING!!
Our experience at Paganini Art Bistro in Budapest was disappointing from the very beginning. We decided to have lunch there, but upon arrival, we were immediately put off by hairs on the tablecloth, likely from an animal, and dirty cushions on the chairs.
We chose to order pasta, despite the prices being twice as high as those in other higher-quality restaurants in city centre. We wanted carbonara pasta, but the menu only offered carbonara penne, which I had never seen before, although we decided to give it a try. My other friend ordered mushroom risotto.
The food arrived fairly quickly, but we were very disappointed. It had no flavor at all, and the risotto was colorless – just a white mass with a few pieces of mushroom. The "carbonara penne" was clumped together and looked like a failed scrambled eggs with pasta. We asked for salt, which was kindly provided, and managed to eat.
The only positive aspect was the excellent fruit lemonade, which we really enjoyed, and the staff, who were friendly and accommodating. We informed the restaurant manager that the food was tasteless when she asked how we liked it.
After finishing our meal, we encountered another shock. An unpleasant smell began to spread around the terrace where we were eating. When we went to pay, we discovered that the smell was coming from inside the restaurant. Upon entering the indoor area, we were horrified to see a mess, bad odor, and random items scattered everywhere. While waiting for the waiter, we had a view of the kitchen. The cooks were dressed in casual clothes, not adhering to any hygiene standards, cooking without gloves, wiping their hands on their shirts, and one of them was even rummaging through a pan while cooking with bare hands.
In summary, we left the restaurant fed but very dissatisfied and disgusted. We do not recommend this...
Read moreI don't know how to say but it was very awful experience in this restaurant on Saturday night. We came with the family 6 peoples in total and they informed that" we just have 1h in total for dining, because they will customers with booking soon, and the food will arrive very quick ". We don't mind and we cried. Even we ordered quickly, we still have to wait more than 45 mins and reminded the waitress about the oders but it didn't help at all. Their services is unfriendly, unprofessional , our came and they even didn't give the proper plates for eating. Waitress just put 4 plates for 6 peoples and walked away. My son has to est in the broken plate as photo ( the other plate even look more broken, i have to ask them to change it I don't know why would you choose to come here because of the food or something else but this was our bad choice. It's ruin the whole evening and i got the feeling i begged them for dinner. When i want to talked with the manager someone just came and even can't listen at all. Read moreBelow-average restaurant in a nice location… We walked around the restaurant late in the evening enjoyed sitting on the outdoor terrace with heating and just wanted to have a glass of wine and something small to eat. We were greeted by friendly service. Unfortunately, we had not looked at the reviews of this restaurant beforehand. I ordered a cream soup of smoked salmon. There was a large portion of soup of a peculiar consistency, in a bowl with a rounded rim. For a soup that cost €10, I expected much more. With toast, it was possible to eat, but without toast, I preferred not to eat it anymore. From the moment we placed our order, the staff practically didn't notice us, even though the terrace was full and someone was always walking by. Despite this, we had difficulty getting a waiter to ask for the bill. When we finally managed to, we waited another few minutes for them to bring it. At the checkout, we were surprised by an automatic 12% service charge. For service that was below average and food that was not any better… Thank you, but...
