Popina — Restaurant in Budapest

Very much liked the friendly and attentive staff - immediately creates a pleasant atmosphere. The food is delicious, really above expectations, and the interior also made a good impression, cozy and stylish.

However, there are a few things we would like to improve. The cook had a watch on his hand, which doesn't look too hygienic. There are no normal dishes, serving only in cardboard - I would like to have at least partially more familiar dishes. Also the table we sat down at was not very clean, we had to wipe it ourselves.

Absolutely amazing pizza — even by Italian standards! Popina was a fantastic surprise in Budapest. The pizza is genuinely delicious — crisp, flavorful, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. As an Italian, I’m often picky when it comes to pizza abroad, but this place truly impressed me.

This is a very small Pizza joint with fresh pasta. We just stumbled upon it in the Jewish quarter. Our entire delicious dinner for two came to 20.00 dollars. The pasta came in a Chinese take out container with two long forks to share. Then we got gelato for dessert and I got the cottage cheese-lemon cup and tasted the sugar free pistachio (they also had sugar free mango) and Dubai chocolate.
