Savoay Terraz is conveniently located just a short walk from Buda Castle, making it a practical spot for a quick break during a visit to the area. The terrace offers a decent view and a calm atmosphere, although it’s not particularly memorable. We only ordered two Pepsis, so our experience with the food was limited.
Drink prices were average for a tourist area, nothing too surprising or overpriced. However, after glancing at the menu and observing the dishes served at nearby tables, the overall impression wasn’t very positive. Portions looked small, and the food didn’t appear especially appetizing or well-presented. There wasn’t much that caught the eye or made us want to stay for a full meal.
Service was polite but fairly impersonal. Savoay Terraz might work for a quick drink or a short rest in the sun, but it’s not a place I’d recommend for dining. Given the charm of the Buda Castle area, you might expect something with more character or culinary appeal. A three-star rating feels fair, mostly due to the location rather than the quality of...
Read moreI had a very unpleasant experience at this place. The waiter threw the payment terminal at me when I asked to review the receipt before paying. When I asked why he was upset, he shouted that he only spoke English, snatched the receipt from my hands, and proceeded to charge the tip without asking.
I asked again in English to understand his reaction, and he shouted at me asking if I had a problem. I told him yes — the problem was his terrible service attitude. The saddest part was seeing how his own coworkers were visibly bothered by his behavior. Right after me, a woman asked him something about her receipt and he treated her the same way — yelling that she didn’t need another receipt, while his coworkers looked uncomfortable and annoyed by him again.
To top it off, the lemonades are mostly ice with very little actual liquid, making them feel like a rip-off.
Such a beautiful place should not tolerate this kind of customer treatment. I’m completely disappointed. I won’t be...
Read moreI truly understand how it is working in a touristic place, but what I can't understand is that 7 people behind a bar ignore the customers and treat them like if the products are for free. The girl with the sun glasses on her head was the only one working, she did spectacular aperol spritz, she was the only one out of 7 people that came to clean the tables, even that she wasn't very happy she was working. Behind her there were the rest of the staff, having drinks, talking between eachothers not caring about anybody but them. They act like no matter how they treat the costumers, they will buy it because is the only place there. Amazing place, good drinks but CHEAP service, 7 people didn't...
