Went to this place for lunch one day before heading up to Fisherman's Bastion.

They were not busy when got there so we were able to seat ourselves. They did get busy so they will guide you. There is an upstairs area so it may seem small.

The portions are big here so try not to order everything! All of it is good but you want to finish you food! The prices are deceiving. We had the traditional goulash soup, hortobágyi with chicken, duck, and the poppyseed cake. All the food was great. Salt could have been added to the pancake, but that is all.

We have come to realize in Budapest, you need to tell them starters first or they will bring everything out. They kept asking if we wanted some things first. It seemed rude, but they just want to make sure.

Service cost is included. They will refuse tips if you try. The lady just yelled at us that service is included and smiled. It was nice and unexpected.

I recommend coming here. There is interesting decor in the restaurant. There is shop next door to buy some of it. Definitely more of an older generation...

Can't tell if this is the quality you get in that entire area (very close to the key tourist sights of Buda) but I've definitely had better food in Budapest at much better prices. The bread came cold. The daily soup was watered down. The chicken paprikas tasted homemade - which is fine, but I can't justify paying that much for a rather bland meal. For a soup and two chicken paprikas, we ended up paying 13920 forint. If you can, wait until you get back to the Pest side - you can get much better quality/taste in restaurants there. The prices have gone up since last year as well, so you are basically paying as much as the swanky...

Went there for a quick lunch and ended up waiting a long time for the food. The owner apologized as he was lacking his staff, which happens and we were totally fine with the prolonged waiting time. However, 1,5 hours of waiting for a salad with the driest chicken and non-drained pasta with store-bought pesto was not ok. On top of that we were charged 12% service; which we thought was very disappointing as the only service we received in this 1,5h was the owner coming and apologizing for the delay. We would have left the tip regardless, but being charged 12% of the bill after hearing apologies for over an hour is just not in...

A very lovely and peaceful place, perfect for a pleasant visit. (You can hear some street noise outside, but it doesn’t disturb the atmosphere inside.) The staff is wonderful – friendly, attentive, and they speak several languages, which is a great plus. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful and cozy, adding to the overall experience. The food was excellent – tasty, fresh, and served with care. The prices are very reasonable, offering great value for money. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a welcoming spot with delicious food and professional service. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Family Owned Business, Great indoor seating. Both owners are super friendly, great service. Absolutely 5 stars Overall Great Service.. Amazing food Just a few notes: 1. Their menu is like 4 main dishes. May be it's a good thing since they do it so good 2. Prices are a bit expensive for the portions given specially the goulash soup. 3. No ventilation as all other places around here in the summer which is really uncomfortable 4. A few ice pieces in the lemonade drinks would have been nice specially in a 33C degree weather. This was a disappointment

Expensive because the portions of the goulash soup are not huge. 50 grammes of meat for 6 EUR it's not exciting. Not funny🥺 Hopefully the goulash soup is tasty. The chicken is good, the Spätzle had a small taste of flour so maybe the proportions weren't ideal, depending of the plate it's good or medium. Certainly two different preparations. Anyway the children were happy. First the bread was about dry, we had to ask for a fresher one. Attention 15% de service en sus
