I'm going to try take the emotional element of being served by an endearing nan out of this review, as often I find these to be misleading when it comes to the food itself. I only noticed the foreigners coming for the Langos, all the locals came for other dishes, which is what I'd probably recommend in hindsight. Her English is poor so I just pointed at things I wanted to try (3 dishes- apologies I dont know the Hungarian names). 1. The Langos was slightly overcooked giving a slightly burnt flavour. The dough was not uniformly rolled, resulting in thicker areas being too soft and doughey, the thinner areas were good though. 3/5 2. Crumbed beef? patty. Great, full of oniony, garlicky, meaty goodness. So soft and tender. 4.5/5 3. Macaroni beef stew. A bit spicy, the sauce was tomato based and worked well with the macaroni. The sour cream cuts through the heat which gives it a good balance, very hearty. 4/5 Come here for the home cooked authentic food made with love, but not the langos. The locals were eating 'Paloc Gulya' which looked like a meat stew dipped with bread, might be worth a try yourself!

Marika's langos were a nice local snack. Langos is fried dough with some garlic sauce, soft cheese and crumbled cheese on top. It's rich on flavor, because of the combinations. As a tourist I would recommend to visit this place and try out her food. Marika is an old small woman whose trying her best to please her guest by cooking traditional Hongarian food. We saw some other locals coming here ordering her Goulash soup! It's a hidden gem which locals probably only know about, it's a bit tricky to get here as well. You can pay by card!

The best authentic Langos in Budapest! We found this quiet and hidden place by chance on our last day, unfortunately... The prices are the lower compared to the ones of the other markets, in addition the food is delicious! I would recommend this place to taste the typical langos at an affordable price!

The best fresh Langos in all of Budapest. So fluffy, so crispy, and so light. I had a simple cheese, sour creme and garlic and it was divine. I wish I had found her on my first day because I would have gone back every day. It was very cheap too. The darling grandmother fried it fresh when I ordered, so when she put the cheese on, it slightly melted. If you only try one Langos during your trip,...
