The Burgery Pub & more — Restaurant in Budapest

As soon as I entered, I was amazed by the industrial décor and a calm atmosphere, an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, a breath of fresh air if you will. As the name suggests the thing they sell are burgers. But for a restaurant that specializes in hamburgers, they sure seem to have a limited selection of them. Don't get me wrong, the ones they do have seem to be really creative, and they do seem to be expanding on it. I've been to many restaurants that have a much wider selection of burgers. What I was amazed of is the service. The guy who took my order was really kind, and albeit it wasn't on a busy day, my food was served with excellent haste. The portion did leave me wanting more, but maybe I was just a bit too hungry. With all of that said, the burger was really good. Not exceptional, but really good. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a nice and calm place to eat a burger. They do need to fix the menus tho. I mean the frayed, crumbled, worn pieces of paper that you order off of. Definitely one of the best burger spot in town. The portions are huge, quality on top and absolutely reasonable prices. We tried several burgers from the menu and our absolute favorite is the Truffle Burger. One of the best burger I’ve ever had. Here you can also try some fancy options like black- smoked one, which is called Smoked JD Burger. I also recommend their vegetarian Share Platter, especially the Jalapeño Cheddar Nuggets and the Cauliflower “Wings”. These are exceptionally delicious. The food: astoundingly good, there is a wide selection of delicious burgers with unique flavours and different ranges of price. There are a plethora of sides and dips to choose from, including the cheese sauce which was excellent. I had the dirty burger with rosemary fries as well, which were very good.

The service: the staff were excellent and were constantly attentive to our table of 8, which they accommodated to upon a walk in. They asked how the food was and offered extra napkins.

The decor and atmosphere inside were also very nice, although we sat outside so didn’t experience it that much.
