I've been to The Magic at first & it has a different menu. Personally, I find the menu at The Magic much richer & better.
I've gone to The Magic three times. And I visited The Magic 2 two times.
However, both of the times I've been at The Magic 2, I was disappointed by the food.
The first time I had quessadilla. It came with fries that tasted like glass... Or, in other words, were very old... And kinda cold upon serving.
The second time I room quesadilla, it was overly salty... I took this food option with fries even though I asked if I could have a salad instead of fries. The staff said it wouldn't be possible... Which is weird, considering they offer a standalone salad, but oh, well... I just wanted to take something that's not a completely fast-food option. This is the reason I would recommend The Magic & Pirates Empire 10 times more than I would the Magic 2.
As far as the atmosphere is concerned, the one at The Magic is simply better. Why? It has natural light which is a personal preference.
The atmosphere in The Magic 2 is basically one long hallway with no natural light whatsoever. I brought family & friends there when they visited me & they say they expected more. But I went there as a compromise, since at that time The Magic was fully booked & I couldn't make a reservation 1 week in advance (that was this spring).
On a positive note, the staff was fast & polite.
There's much more space in this restaurant than it appears to be at first. If you walk down to the end, you'll find a green-lit room which is pretty cool & has some nice effects such as a storm in...
Read moreThe same as a lot of reviews on here, the magic is there, especially at the beginning with the beautiful interiors, smoking cauldrons and interesting drinks, but as a dining experience it leaves a lot to be desired.
Firstly, in such a restaurant, why would you not have a specific kids menu? Even in gourmet restaurants they have a couple of dishes specifically for kids. OK, there are certain things on the menu that may be acceptable for kids, but it just seems like an egregious lack of care. Just put a meat soup, a pasta and sour cream and an absolute simple chicken and chips, fishfinger and chips, call it "Magic Fingers" and parents would be happy. Secondly, the quality of food is poor. The wrap my sister had was inedible. The ribs I had were dry, a little sauce would have been a godsend, the use of garlic was overpowering, and the chips were just poor all round. Thirdly the service was solid, but it left a bad taste in the mouth that even though 15% is added automatically, when they brought the card reader to the table, a 10% optional tip had also been added, and it was so awkward to have to remove that in front of the server as I was not willing to pay a 25% tip for something so unrewarding. When i didn't give any extra tip than 15%, the server walked off in a huff and didn't even say goodbye.
For a photo opportunity it may be worth it, but I would recommend just drinking a beer and going to get food elsewhere after that. It's such a shame because it could be so...
Read moreI would like to describe my experience with this restaurant. The restaurant is stylish decorated inside, but that's where the fun ends. They charge unreasonable amounts for a drink, since it was sparkling water with a little fruit (3 slices of orange, 3 pcs of blackberry..). If you prepared the drink at home, you would certainly make it better. We waited over an hour for the food we ordered, despite the fact that we had made a reservation in advance. After an hour of waiting, they brought us a burger with black burnt meat. There was no tomato and onion as it should be from the description. When we asked the waiter about this mistake, he brought us 3 slices of tomato and onion in separate bowls as if you had ordered a side dish for the steak. For this class of restaurant which pretends to be classy with its prices, we found it veey unprofessional. The service is like in a fast food restaurant. The most ridiculous thing is that they charge a 15% surcharge for the service, which cannot even apologize when it makes a mistake. At the same time, it is such a "professional" service that they cannot even replace or fix the food that they themselves messed up. However, we got a 10% discount as an apology. In total, almost 40 euros for tasteless colored water, a burnt burger without essential ingredients and a service that cannot even say "sorry" for their mistake. The schnitzel was the only good one.
Conclusion: good vibes but average food quality for...
