I am a bit torn while reviewing this. The location is great, near the metro station, near a Lidl and a big shopping center and not far from the city center, if you wanted to, you could take a 20 min walk. We were in a 2 bedroom apartment, suited for 6 people. The apartment was great, modern, spacious, the beds were comfortable, there was a nice balcony and the best thing, considering we were 5 girl, two toilets. The kitchen was small but enough for a short stay so you don't have to spend so much money on food. The only thing I wish there was were mugs for coffee or tea and teaspoons because we only had 6 glasses and had to drink our coffee from glasses. It isn't that big of a problem, but I would've preferred if there were mugs as well. The building is quite safe, you have to have a key to enter it and go past the first floor because there is a little plastic bit that you have to scan at the entrance and in the lift. The problem we had is that there was one key for the 5 of us so we had to plan really well where we were going and when are we coming back so non of us gets locked out. ||The staff was ok, but we complained that our TV wasn't working and one of the receptionist tried to fix it but as he did not speak Hungarian he understood where the problem was as well as any of us. Although he told us, he'll have someone come and fix it the next day, that didn't happen. Also, the second day of our stay the housekeeping did not come to our room and we heard from other guests that they did come to theirs. Granted, there was quite a mess in there but they could have at least taken out the trash and put extra toilet paper.|| All in all, it was good for the price and location and we would probably go back, but there are a few things that have to be fixed...
Read moreThis apart-hotel is in the up and coming Corvin Plaza area, which also means that there is a fair amount of building work going on in the vicinity! It is more than adequate for a long weekend stay and the centre of Budapest is easily accessible via public transport or on foot (approx 30 minutes walk). The apartments are spacious and comfortable. However, attention to detail is lacking, and the description on booking sites is not quite what you get. To advertise a hot tub in an apartment and for there not to be one or any mention of one by the staff for example! Free Toiletries = no toiletries?? We requested a twin room and got a double bed! Our apartment was not serviced at all over a 3 night stay and we even had to go to reception to ask for toilet roll. Also needed to go to reception for a hairdryer, even though it is stated that they are provided! The kitchen is not very well equipped for self catering. Providing glasses for drinking water would be useful. The staff were very friendly and helpful when asked, but we were given no information on hotel facilities when we arrived. Pretty much left to it really. Ok for what we paid, but certainly not for the inflated prices we have seen since. Is there even a Hot Tub in the...
Read moreI spent a week over Christmas at Corvin Residence Apartments and, once I found my way around, realised what a great, central location it was. There was a Lidl on our doorstep & lots of restaurants & coffee shops on the pedestrian mall below the hotel. One of the routes to the number 4 & 6 tram stops was through the shopping mall, Corvin Plaza, 5 minutes walk away. I had a studio apartment that had a well-equipped kitchen, including a washing machine. My experience of the hotel was that it had positive & negative aspects (a few niggles). The room was spacious & clean, the mattress was firm & comfortable, the hosts were wonderful & Zoltan was very helpful when I checked in. ||The changes I would make would be:|The pillow - too big & not comfortable.|Shower head attached higher up the wall, not at hip height.|A full length mirror, possibly on one of the wardrobe doors.|I found the room a little too warm, even with the radiators switched off & had to use the a/c, once I figured it out.||These are meant as constructive criticism/suggestions that would have made my stay 5 stars. I...
