Really enjoyed the food here. Had Lobster soup and lamb, but we didn't end on a great note. We arrived at 9:20PM and they said kitchen would close in 8 minutes (at 9:30 pm). We were ready to put a full order in since we knew what we wanted before we arrived. At time of ordering, we asked if we need to also put in the dessert order immediately. She said no, we would have time. We asked for a drink menu. No one came to take the drink order until after the main course arrived. When finishing the mains, we asked to put in dessert and she said too late - kitchen is closed... which was a surprise to us because she knew we wanted to put in the dessert. Then when I mentioned our initial request at time of ordering she said, yeah, well I didn't know you'd take so long to eat. We had our appetizer first and then main, and apparently, 25 mins is too long to eat the main, but even more so - it's an inappropriate comment to make to your guests after you forgot about us at the table when we specifically asked to order dessert in advance. If the kitchen was closing, why would you not ask me for last call on the dessert after I specifically mentioned the dessert order before 9:30 PM? The food was excellent, but the service was frustrating. It kind of ruined the experience for us. Our server was too distracted and completely forgot about the request, and made a snarky comment when we brought up the ibitial request to order the dessert. We wouldn't want anyone to stay late because of us, but some communiation at the beginning or in advance would've...
Read moreI have been eating here a couple of times already and everything was always delicious and the service impeccable. However this time the experience was not the same. I ordered a burrata, buttered toast with rucola and a beautiful 'mozzarella' on top sprinkled by nuts. Tasty and nice looking but when I cut the first piece of toast I saw the bread underneath was black: burnt. I can understand people make mistakes, I have been a chef myself for many years, WE ARE HUMAN. So when the waiter approached us at the table after a while, asking if everything was ok, I told him and showed him that the bread was burnt. HE ASKED. Unprofessionally and impolitely he replied that it was normal because the bread is cooked on a pan with butter. ???? Basically he said that the food burnt is normal in that restaurant and he left the table when I was speaking, he interrupted me and left during the conversation. One word to these kind of staff: find another job! If you can! The waiter is a caucasian guy with a big belly and seems to come from east of Europe. This is how you ruin the experience of a customer, who pays and who wants to enjoy food and at the same time YOUR BUSINESS. EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE: terrible...
Read moreMy wife picked out this restaurant last minute and wow it was a real winner. Amazing food that we had to come back to experience one more time to try some more of their food.
To start with their bread and butter is just exquisite. It could almost be a dessert.
The first day I got the cod and my wife got a burger. It was some of the best cod I have ever gotten. The flavors work so well with this and it was cooked perfectly. I can’t remember much about my wife’s cheeseburger other than it being good.
If I were to complain about one thing it would be the fries. I am not a skinny fry fan and I realize that some people are so maybe you’ll like them even if you’re wrong. Lol.
The second day I got the arctic char and my wife got the lamb. I really enjoyed the arctic char but my wife’s lamb was unfortunately a bit tough. The flavor was at least good but I would expect it to be more tender.
All in it wasn’t perfect but still totally deserving of 5 stars as the food was delicious and the prices were fair...
