I rarely write a review on restaurants that have poor service or poor quality food but here is an exception. When I ordered a basic cheesesteak, fries, mozzarella sticks and water - paying $33, noticed when get back to hotel that there were no fries. Now when I buy fast food for $33 I expect fries as on the menu however when returned to complain to manager said it is not with the item I ordered because they put the fries inside the sandwich and I requested steak cheese pickle tomato and they decided not to include any fries. It's kind of ridiculous that you have to debate over fries but with the Icelandic model of "ripoff foreigners" it is something to marvel at. Traveling 24 days a month in the US and 3 weeks in Europe I've seen a lot of different schemes to extract money from tourist but the no fry zone gig takes the cake, or lack of frosting for the cake. The correct response would have been "okay sure no problem we'll have fries coming up". Instead of a big explanation of why every price on every item in Iceland is astronomically high-double & trouble all of Europe and the US. I guess we have to pay for their health care, schools, roads, special education, every damn thing from foreigners. But that's the way of the world, take advantage as much as possible and when people ask for fries with their meal, just do a little dance to make no love to get down tonight for your country of "no fries...
Read moreCute diner that offers a large selection of freshly made burgers, sandwiches and a nice children's menu. We had a Road 66 and a Country Honk with both regular and country style fries and we took a side of mozzarella sticks for our 3-year-old (as she's never hungry enough to finish a kid's meal and we end up having to eat it 😄). All meals were very good and very generous: we bot had to leave some fries as we were full. We weren't asked how we wanted our meat cooked but it was juicy and that's what you want in a burger. You order at the counter and can eat in or take out. The ladies were nice and spoke good English. The tables, seats and bathroom were clean. The prices were fine: 3175 Kr for 3 people for good quality, good taste and large plates. The place was operated by only women tonight so I don't know if it's an all-women restaurant but that would be a plus! The atmosphere is that of an American diner and it's pretty cosy. There also is a small parking attached to the building. Finally they have a fidelity card if you plan on...
Read moreThis is a very American diner. It has a fine vibe and was clean and plenty of seating space. The workers were ok friendly.
The sweet potato fried were great. Before you order the big size, ask to see the basket cos it is huge!
The burgers were ok. Typical / standard. Nothing mega amazing or unusual, but good. I would have loved a brioche bun instead of white takeaway bun. It's a 3 star for me as it was just a bit too standard but others in my group said 4, so I'll give a 4 :)
Water, cups and ice on the table to the side for you to take from. Cutlery and everything is self serve.
The menu is also in English :)
Toilets were ok but the toilet roll was on the sink and not installed in the roller which meant I had to man handle the roll to get paper. That is less hygienic...
There is a little carpark just...
