Drekinn — Restaurant in Reykjavik

Drekkin has great burgers and sandwiches, and great fries, but this review is dedicated to María Mey, who I think is their best employee. Not only does she masterfully craft beautiful burgers, but she does it with speed and efficiency, and style! Dancing and singing, she keeps her kitchen clean and tidy, and manages her prep work with mathematical patience. She never seems to stop, and yet seems relaxed and unhurried. I saw her get an order for 30 burgers meals (burgers AND fries), and her reaction wasn’t of frustration or resignation, but rather an enthusiastic “let’s do this!” with a smile. She managed to get all the burgers out in record time and without any mistakes, all the while handling new orders that came in with masterful timing. Great job María! You make me want to come...

Great little corner shop which does filling fast food (burgers, chips etc) and lots of snacks and drinks as well as tobacco and smoking paraphernalia. We found the staff super helpful and really nice and friendly. Not exactly a health food store but it was good to find some more reasonably priced food in Reykjavik! Really close to Hallgrímskirkja so in a convenient location...
