We were a fan of Asha sweet center at Malleswaram and were regular cutomers. With that confidence we explored the Gandhibazar branch. Sweet quality was good.
But, recently, we had an extremely bad experience with the cashier at Gandhibazar branch. I got half a Kg of assorted sweets of my choice (worth Rs.550) + mixture pack (worth Rs. 90). totaling Rs. 640. After paying by debit card I got the bill and left. After reaching home I got the messages of my transactions. An amount of Rs. 740 was deducted from my account, billed at Asha sweet. I though there could have been some mistake and since it was late at night I decided to go and enquire the next day.
Next day, when I asked the cashier about this, initially, he did not agree. Then I showed him the bill and the messages/mail I got from my bank. Then he told that "you could have bought something else", I said I did not buy anything. Then he said "you should have called us yesterday itself and informed about it". When I asked for the previous days billing details, he said it was not possible to get it, infact, he asked me "how can I get it?" (well, I dint know that I was supposed to help him in these things). I was surprised! Then after repeated questioning he took out yesterday's print out details of the transactions. Then he found out that from my card number Rs. 740 was deducted. In spite of this he did not agree to give back the money. He started abusing us very harshly in an uncivilized manner. When we said that we shall put in the reviews, then he threw the money and continued his abuses, but never accepted his mistake and inturn accusing us that we were wrong (even when i had accepted the mistake).
I did not understand what would make him give the money if we had called him on the same day and not the next day?
If he agrees to it that he could have returned money had I called him the same day, then he is also accepting the fact that he can enter whatever amount he wants in the debit card device and get money and its upto us "the customers" to check and figure out if we are being cheated.. So basically he has the right to cheat a not-so-alert-customer or ignorant customers!!
I agree that it was my mistake not to have called him.. but does it mean we have to hear all the abuses from him?
I have had experiences in other shops where the money was deducted twice etc.. But in all those cases, the shop keepers had politely accepted and had given back the money.
Although I got that money I wanted to warn the customers of such people.
THIS WAS THE MOST UNCIVILIZED REACTION FROM SUCH A WELL KNOWN SHOPS. IT IS HIGHLY UNACCEPTIBLE. HOPE THE ASHA SWEETS DO NOT CHEAT PEOPLE LIKE THIS IN FUTURE.

Absolutely delighted with the food and service. Super clean and tidy. The Indian food chats are flavorful and cooked to perfection. The Badam Milk was a delightful blend of sweet and creamy flavors. The pastry was light and fluffy, and the other bakery products were fresh and delicious. The selection of Indian sweets was impressive.
The atmosphere at Asha Sweet Corner is also worth mentioning. They are clean and inviting, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The prices are a bit on the higher side for what its worth and the portions are generous. Also impressed by the speed of service.

Read morePathetic staff behaviour...they have provided my order in 4 small paper begs..but counter staff as well as staff at cash counter simply refused to provide bigger carry beg...it was very inconvinent to carry 4 paper begs on my scooter. They were providing the carry bag to everyone if orderd item was more. They were providing 10% discount on the occasion of Diwali and they have tie up with some company for providing discount online.A nice guys was helping the customers from the partner company to avail the discount offer but I feel pity for him. He was almost begging the counter staffs to deliver the orders booked online.I have availed their diwali offer that was the reason for their indifferent behaviour or they want to save Rs.10-15 I don't know but it was certainly unpleasant experience for me.
I like their sweets but better alternative is also available...
