Last night, as I glanced out of the window, a light drizzle blurred the streetlights. In an instant, I was transported back to my childhood â trudging to school or the market with an umbrella far bigger than me, splashing through puddles, and giggling with friends as the rain soaked our shoes. That nostalgic rush was too strong to ignore, so we decided to step out and embrace the rain once again.
But Bangalore had other plans. From Kannamangala to Hope Farm, the roads were jammed like the city had stopped breathing. Cars inched forward, horns blared impatiently, and the romance of the drizzle began to fade under the glare of brake lights.
Somewhere along that crawl, we found ourselves near Corner House in Whitefield. Iâd heard whispers of its legendary âDeath by Chocolate,â but nothing prepared me for the scene â every table seemed to be serving it, people digging in like pilgrims at a sacred dessert shrine.
Curiosity won. We joined the queue and soon held in our hands the famed creation: scoops of vanilla ice cream layered with chunks of fudge cake, drenched â no, flooded â with molten hot chocolate sauce, crowned with a scattering of roasted nuts. The first bite was an avalanche of sensations â warm, cold, soft, crunchy, all tangled in unapologetic sweetness.
It was delicious, no doubt. But as the sugar high settled, so did the thought: was it worth battling Bangaloreâs traffic for? Probably not. Still, if youâre already in the neighborhood, itâs worth trying once â if only to say youâve joined the ranks of those whoâve survived the cityâs gridlock for a spoonful of...
Read moreDear Corner House management, As much as i am glad about you running business here, I am sad to say that we have been disturbed almost everyday. Why don't you make it mandate to provide parking in basement regardless of the hour? There have been instances where people have damaged my vehicles which are parked in front of my house. Its your responsibility to understand not to disturb the neighborhood while we do not want to get involved into your business. People block the road and create nuisance which we cannot take it any more. Please deploy a security to ensure there is no parking offered on the road. This should have been ideally noticed by you as a business. Apart from this, people litter the place and stand outside your place and talk at the top of their voice as they own the place, even at 11:45 PM. I have all CCTV recordings with voice if I am challenged. This is going above and beyond and cannot tolerate anymore. This is a residential area and please let us be at peace. Hope you will take this seriously and bring an end before things escalate. Thanks for your approach to bring the change. I appreciate it if there is consistency. By the way, your ice creams are the best thing to happen to my family, every weekend. I would to reconsider...

Tried the Chocolate Fudge and the iconic DBC (Death By Chocolate) â and both were absolutely mind-blowing. The rich, gooey fudge, the thick chocolate sauce, the perfectly moist brownie base, and the generous scoop of vanilla ice cream⊠itâs sinful in the best way possible. One bite and youâll understand why DBC is a Bangalore cult classic.
â Rating: 5/5 â No debate. Seriously, this is hands-down one of the best dessert spots in Bangalore. Perfect place to treat yourself after a long day or to just dive headfirst into a sugar coma.
Also tried a few of their fruit-flavored ice creams â super fresh and flavorful! Especially recommend the mango and strawberry ones if you like fruity, refreshing options.
đ§ Ambience: Clean, minimal, and well-kept đ Timing: Open till 11 PM â perfect for those late-night dessert cravings đ Location: Whitefield, easy to spot, and parking available!
