The Ants Store and cafe — Restaurant in Bengaluru

So i finally went to the cafe. I planned for a while but there was some confusion. Zomato has marked this place as permanently closed but the truth is that they are open... In Whitefield. It's a quaint and rustic place with a cute cat! They have clothes, jewellery, pottery and stoneware (think Fabindia) however I personally did not care too much for the prices which in some cases is higher than Fabindia.

Now for the food. I started out with asking for a Hazelnut Cappuccino, however I was told the sauce is not there. So I tried the Cinnamon Cappuccino which comes with a teaspoon of cinnamon on top. It was delicious! I decided to try the creps but unfortunately the machine was not working (?) So i  tried the Peri Peri Chicken breast. It comes with a small portion of potato wedges, potato salad and a piece of garlic bread. It was good but nothing spectacular. The potatoes in the salad could have been cooked a bit more. I then tried the recommended French Toast with caramelized bananas and let me tell you that was the highlight of my meal. Soft in the inside, lightly crisp on the outside, it was the right texture and the perfect level of sweetness. The caramelized bananas, however, left a lot to be desired. The bananas were raw and tasted like bits of erasers. Ugh! Other than that, dessert was perfect.

If I return, it will probably be for the coffee and dessert. I was a bit disappointing about the creps but, oh well. The entire meal came to around 600 change and that's because I could not resist having another...

Visited here few days ago. It's a cafe in a beautiful lane with lot of greenery and silent too. You see ANTS as per the name 😀

Reminds of old Whitefield.

So we tried mushroom bed on garlic bread - this was very well cooked mushroom topped on garlic bread. Worth having.

Chicken bacon ham sandwich - this was good too.

And they serve sandwiches with French fries.

Ambience is outdoor seating it's nice and close to nature. But there are lot of mosquitos even during day time and they have kept odomos lotions to apply. Thou if you miss your sure the mosquitos dine you 😉

Service is decent. Cost wise ok too.

Recommend this place only for all day...

THE ANTS CAFE! Situated quietly in a peaceful environment inside Whitefield. This place rests just a few meters from whitefield main road but is very far away from the city dust or noise. Unique things about this place include, you feel very close to nature because of its set up, under the trees, wooden table and benches, and as the name tells a few ants, apart from this, the place serves English breakfast, definitely a unique cuisine. I loved the place more than the food. Food was average but its uniqueness increases the standard of food. The vibe is very good. A must visit place for one who likes...
