Three of us friends decided to meet at a restaurant in the Brigade road area on March 12th Sunday evening and chose The Chariot in an instant without checking reviews and what a big mistake it turned out to be!!
The service was terrible to say the least. It was as if they wanted us to leave immediately so they could shut down. We were the only table and yet they didn't attend on our table even after being called. They didn't bring an order we'd made and 2 waiters blamed each other for forgetting so we canceled it.
The food was downright unfit to be served in a commercial establishment. There were no idly or dosa dishes or even hot beverages at about 8 pm. The Gobi Manchurian was burnt and tasted stale and just reheated with some sauce. The aloo parathas were half baked and unpalatable. The chole curry for the rotis wasn't anything to recommend. Masala puri chat wasn't good either. We finished eating because we were short on time and hungry.
They might as well have told us that they'd closed for the day and we would have gone to a dozen other happening places just within meters of this in the central business district. Overall a Bad experience and waste of money.
There's no point in them earning good reviews with a few customers by serving well at certain times of the day if they do poorly on weekends...

I did not receive an answer yet for the question that why in the morning itself was the masala spoiled. You said that I choose to shout this thing and bring it up to people and blah blah.
What happened answer it why was the spoiled masala served in the morming itself. It would have been in the evening I would have understood that coz of climate it would spoiled.
I am surprised that at the early hour of a morning you are serving your customer with spoiled masala in dosa this shows that you use leftovers from yesterday. I am pretty sure that if the masala was prepared that day in the morning it won't be spoiled by 9:30 Am.
Coming to the point that I did not had your freshly prepared dosa because I was skeptical about the quality again.
Telling people about my experience is important so that someone else don't have to go through the same experience as mine
The dosa was not unsatisfactory but the masala was smelling. You did not charged because I asked you twice that do I really have to pay for the dasa that I didn't had? If you remember the bill had amount for both the items.
Pathetic service and stale food. I ordered for a rava masala dosa and the masala was smelly which shows that the masala was left over used...
Read moreOn August 22nd, 2023, we arranged a buffet lunch for a team treat at my office, consisting of 30 members.
During the event, I had the pleasure of meeting the Manager or Owner, Mr. Vasant of Restaurant, I took the opportunity to express my gratitude to him directly for the exceptional experience we were having.
I promptly reached out to Mr. Vasant to convey my sincere appreciation after the LUNCH. The entire lunch affair was nothing short of outstanding - the portions were generous, and the quality of the food was truly excellent. It had been quite some time since I had enjoyed such a satisfying meal. Moreover, the entire office team shared my sentiment, thoroughly relishing the high quality of the food provided.
Given the remarkable success of this lunch treat, I am already committed to organizing a similar event on a monthly basis for my team. I have every confidence that Mr. Vasant will consistently uphold the standards of affordability, service, excellence, and quantity that we experienced on...
