It is a fabulous experience in visiting such a restaurant that serves authentic multi-cuisine food with a train-themed décor and ambience. I had recently visited the Kondapur outlet of Platform 65 to try out some of the dishes they have on offer.

Starting with the appetizers, I gave a shot to their Velluli mamasam roast, Allam Kodi wings, Thai Chicken, Royyala vepudu and Nawabi murgh tikka.

Velluli mamasam roast was a great dish to begin our dinner feast. Classic Andhra style Mutton chunks were tossed in curry leaves and a wholesome masala. The use of garlic imparted a wonderful taste to the dish.

Allam Kodi wings was another beautifully crafted dish. The spicy chicken wings were tossed in pepper powder and other spices. This one was a bombshell. Highly recommended stuff.

Next up, the Thai chicken was not very much an authentic version of any Thai dish. I feel that they could slightly improve on the seasonings and the presentation of the dish.

Nawabi Murgh tikka was also a decent dish. I felt that there was nothing spectacular about this one and could be improved as a dish. Royyala vepudu was quite good. Bite-sized prawns were coated in fiery yet succulent masala and cashew nuts that gave a lovely crunch as well as texture to the dish.

For mains, I had their Gongura mamasam, Chicken soft noodles and assorted breads. The gongura mamasam was seriously good. I was able to taste the sharp, tangy flavour of the gongura which complimented nicely with the mutton. Accompanied by Garlic naan and tandoori roti, it was a very good ending to our meal.

The chicken soft noodles lacked a bit of seasoning in my opinion. There was an adequate portion size with chicken, egg fry, vegetables and noodles. They can improve this one.

All in all, the service was quite pleasant and the vibe of the place impressed me. I would hope that they could improve the quality of 1-2 dishes....

Don't even deserve 1 star.

Bad Table manners: No quarter plates exists. All food including soup is dumped in to same plate No table manners for staff, they kept soup bowls in dining plate. No soup spoons given, same spoon for all food Ordered corn soup and tomato soup and few straters. I guess ir i believe soups and starters are served together. First they got corn soup after 10 mins they served starters after 20 mins they got another soup. On top of this staff got audicity to say this is the way of serving. Asked for water bottle as i chocked on food, they took 5 mins to get one. Staff saw i'm struggling and no ine bothered to get it quick Guy who is taking order is chewing pan/gutka whole time.

Food: Pathetic is only word Orderd crispy corn, looks like it took oil bath and forgot to wipe. Please see attached images. Soup, spilled all over the bowl they served. Please see attached images. Paneer majestic : as per my knowledge Paneer majestic is to be dipped in corn flour, deep fried and to be sauted in sauces along with few e veggies. Not sure which paneer majestic they served, its just paneer sauted in sauces and bland. Ordered fried rice. Its shining oil in that dim lights, i will leave the taste to ur imagination. Ordered jeera rice, Not sure which fickle minded add souff to jeera rice that too in abundance. Whole rice tasted like eating souff and there is no tinge of jeera. Ordered baby corn masala. Not sure which masala gravy it is, its tangy and tasted only tomato and undercooked.

🙏🏻 Never visit this place until and unless you want to waste your hard earned money. I understand its for kids, rather take them to railway station buy them a plat form ticket and spend some time there. Don't risk your kid by feeding them...

Platform 65 a themed restaurant in Kondapur The concept if good A unique way to deliver via toy trains on to one’s table . Ambiance -3/5 The place has a train themed decor Well lit Kids will love the way food is sent via toy trains in to table n served A bit low on neatness front Food - 3/5 We tried couple of starters Veg manchurian fry which is made well n manchurian balls tossed in soy sauce Chicken miryala vepudu Pepper chicken fry topped with cashews Both of them fare well n taste good Main course we tried the newly introduced bucket biryani Vegetarian biryani + paneer biryani + masala vada combo The masala vada is good The paneer biryani is too spicy and paneer is not that fresh a bit chewy ( mostly refrigerated for days ) The veg biryani again is too spicy Biryani is a versatile dish n made with loads of spices n cooked well They ruined it with too much chilly powder I respect the spice from green or red chilies n love that taste But not the one with chilly powder .. Again they pack all these in a disposable bucket - that messes up n looses the charm of these 3 dishes . Chicken biryani + chicken lollipop biryani combo Again same case too much of masala n chilli powder used Not happy with biryani . Staff -3/5 The staff are polite But you at times have to be behind them for things like cutlery , water n food to be served The place gets packed by 8 pm so be early to avoid rush n waiting time Vfm -3.5/5 Keeping in mind the unique ambience and also the food taste The prices are nominal not too pricy again But they can make slight improvements in food n taste Will I come back , yes after few months to know if things change .
