On the suggestion of a friend we went here for lunch. They have majorly 2 options for meals - 6 Chapathi, Limited Rice, Curds and 2 types of curry / side dish - ₹95 6 Ghee Chapathi, Limited Rice, Curds and 2 types of curry / side dish - ₹110
We had the Ghee version. The side dishes on the day we visited were Lentil curry - 3.5/5 Curry made of Cauliflower, Potato and Ridge Guard - 4.5/5 The chapati's were soft, and smothered with Ghee - 4.5/5 They also provide chopped Onion, Cucumber on the side along with Green Chilli soaked in Curd. The chilli when had with the chapati / rice adds great flavor to the meal. Just a warning though, it's still green chilli and it is spicy. So have it at your discretion. The rice is served after the Chapati and is not a lot, and I don't think I could have eaten any more either.
The curry, and all the sides are unlimited and there will be person going around serving it to whoever needs it.
They have extra Masala Buttermilk (4/5, ₹10), Sweet (3.5/5, ₹10) and a couple of other options which are optional and can be ordered if required.
There is usually a crowd here because of the value for money and the excellent taste they provide. The ambience is ok, as much as you would expect in a crowded place. If you are expecting fine dining this is not the place for you. If you want to have a heart and stomach filling meal, you definitely need to have a meal here.
PS: If you are planning to get back to work after lunch, i would suggest a small walk before getting into the office, unless you want to...

The answer is simple, delicious & UNLIMITED Gujju fare at just Rs.85/- Freshly cut lemons & a plate of fried chillis welcome you as you are hurriedly seated. What follows is a continuous supply of flame-roasted chappatis, cucumber & onion salad and two rich, thick Gujarati gravies that will keep coming unless you want it to stop! One gravy is usually a protein-rich lentil one while the other is a wholesome vegetable curry. Wash your meal down with their refreshing, spicy buttermilk.
Be warned though! This is not the place for a casual chat over lunch. In fact, talking too much might probably earn you several dirty looks from the staff & waiting customers!
So if you're on a quest for a no-frills, ridiculously cheap meal, Gujarati hotel is your...
Read moreWe tried this place as it said Gujarati and we thought authentic gujarati meals would be a great change in Mangalore. We found it is frequented by a large number of patrons and there's usually a wait for a seating place. Having eaten in some very good Gujarati meals restaurants in Mumbai, I can say that the good on offering here is far from authentic and has been tweaked to suit the taste and affordability of its patrons. At ₹100/- per meal one cannot expect much, but for me it was a strict "NO" experience and the I wouldn't...
