Hotel Maya Darshini — Restaurant in Karnataka

We visited this hotel around 6:30–7 PM and first asked for puri, which wasn’t available. That was fine.

Then we ordered goli baje (₹35 for 4 pieces), pav bhaji (₹80), and sev puri. Of the three, only the sev puri was okay — nothing great, but at least edible.

The goli baje was terrible: hard, sour, and unpleasant to eat. Pav bhaji was even worse — it came with a thin, overly spicy layer of something unidentifiable, a side dish, some onions, and a lemon wedge. The taste was disappointing, more like plain pav with no real bhaji. We didn’t enjoy it at all.

Later, we took a masala dosa parcel. We opened it within 30–45 minutes of getting home, but it was just as bad. The dosa lacked flavor and freshness.

What’s confusing is the size of the menu — it reads like this is a top-tier restaurant, but the food quality says otherwise. We seriously doubt whether any of the items are fresh or even worth eating.

To sum it up: this place is not worth your time or money. The food is bland, poorly made, and completely unsatisfying. Honestly, a simple home-cooked meal would’ve...

I went to this place since I had to find a place to park my car. But since it was unethical to leave I thought I'll stop to get chat and some fresh juice. Wait staff are not trained well and are extremely impatient. I asked for no sugar in my juice in the order and before the juice was placed on my table I enquired again if there was sugar in it to which I was told that there was "some" sugar. When I refused, to my surprise I was being forced to have it. I then requested them to take it back and offered to pay for it. Any decent restaurant would offer a replacement drink and obviously not charge for the previous wrong order. I then had to take the bill back to the cashier who was the slowest cashier ever and he took another 10 mins to understand the issue and then refund me. The chats also tasted pretty bad since the ingredients like onions were stale. Absolutely not worth the time or the...

Pathetic. Would have given a negative review if possible. My lunch hour got completely spoilt. Ordered special veg biryani via swiggy and received plain ghee rice after 30 mins of wait!!! On top when called, the person from the restaurant is casually saying... "okay you request for refund from swiggy". Did I order from swiggy to get a refund???!!! I had no choice but to eat this nonsense plain rice with no curry as I don't have time to order again and wait for another 30mins !!! Pathetic experience!!! Will never ever order from this restaurant and will always always review this restaurant to be the worst in Mangalore to everyone...
