One week. 3 times. Day one: TBJ Ultimate and a mojito. The burger was spot on, juicy and held together even as I chomped through it. Mojito was alright.( I would recommend the biscoff shake instead). Took a bite of the Halo burger and that tasted delicious too. Plus it looks amazing.
Day two: Hellboy. Made with bhootjalaka, or the ghost pepper. If you ask, they'll make it extra spicy, but the regular will do for most mortals. Try not to get it on your lips. Better keep a biscoff shake ready. Your tongue WILL be on fire. They WILL give you a glass of ice if you ask. You will want to keep eating that burger still. Tastes pretty good, while your tongue can still feel it, that is. 100% recommend. One of a kind. After you leave TBJ and head home, your stomach will start burning. Milk. Or maybe that Bischoff shake I keep talking about. Either way. Oh also it comes with a side of hot fries.(felt regular to me but my sister said otherwise) (Pls don't get discouraged from my review)
Day three: Baconator. One of their best. It's a heavy burger but you'll want to eat one more. The chef is generous on his/her portions, and each bite is a total flavor explosion. If you can't decide on a burger and don't want to make one on your own, I say go for it. No regrets.
Day four(TBJ kakanad): couldn't decide on a burger. Made my own. Fat beef patty. TBJ sauce, lettuce, jalapeno, bacon, caramelized mushrooms, grilled onions, and cheese. With a side of the vegan cheese fries. I feel like the chef knew where I was going with that order. Burger was solid packed. Juicy. Crispy lettuce. Plenty jalapenos. (love me some jalapenos) Shredded bacon, onion and shrooms all safely tucked away from the melted cheese. I felt like I was in heaven. The fries were surprisingly good. A generous portion of veggies blended in the melted cheese over crispy fries. It does get a liiil soggy as you get to the end. But loved the overall experience. Really eager to make my own again. Also, I had it for dinner and it was so heavy I just had some juice in the morning. Balance.
Note: no I didn't go there 4 days in a row okay i did this over the course of 2 weeks. Not that anything was stopping me.
Thank you for coming to my Ted talk. I was not paid by anybody or TBJ to write this. Honest review. Also try the burger I made. I'm proud of it. Call it the Johnesy burger. C'mon we...
Read moreStrolling through the trendy streets of Panampilly Nagar, we were drawn into Burger Junction by the promise of their famed burgers, and oh, did they deliver! An air of elegance greets you as you step into the venue, a prelude to the mouthwatering experience that awaits.
The main event, The Beast burger, was a masterpiece. Imagine perfectly juicy patties - not just one but two - layered with melting cheese, the optional (but in my opinion, mandatory) bacon, and a flavorful chicken sausage addition. This burger is aptly named; it was colossal, so much so that they graciously cut it into two manageable halves upon our request - service that understands the term "customer satisfaction."
True to my cravings, the bacon in the burger was a standout add-on, and let's not gloss over the patties, oh-so-juicy, they were a triumph for the taste buds, seasoned and cooked to perfection.
On a less beastly note, the TBJ Special beef burger was a delightful companion to the beast. Smaller, yet packing a punch with added chicken sausage and cheese, it delighted with every bite. It's the sort of burger that leaves an impression, setting a benchmark for what a specialty beef burger should taste like.
However, no dining experience is without its lows. The calamari rings, for instance, made me nostalgic for the flavors of Indonesia but fell short of the mark. A touch more attention from the chef during frying could turn this dish around. Likewise, the virgin piña colada was a tad disappointing, lacking that refreshing zest one anticipates from such a tropical mix.
On the flip side, the muffin peanut butter shake stood out, its flavors and consistency hitting the nail right on the head.
As for value - yes, Burger Junction is not shy with pricing. But given the upscale ambiance, the generous portions, and the high quality of most offerings, I felt the cost justified. Completing the experience is the convenience of a lift, and limited yet manageable parking for a quick dash to burger heaven.
While the service was adequate, it did not soar to the levels of perfection, leaving a little room for a polish in customer engagement.
In sum, Burger Junction in Panampilly Nagar is a must-visit for burger aficionados and those looking for a taste of indulgence. Just remember, when you order The Beast, you're in for a...

I was in Cochin for some errands,I was hungry so in between some chaos, I last minute googled a random restaurant (I normally do my research first) I actually just wanted a quick bite so "THE BURGER JUNCTION" caught my eye . TBH, I wasn't so keen on going here Cuz every local joint can make up a name like that!! My expectations droped as they don't have Parking and somehow I parked it somewhere ...when I was at the door.. I kinda stalled for a bit if anyone would be kind enough to open the door for me cuz( it's CORONA) But nope...(am not complaining just saying) I would give a 6/10 for the ambient's 7 if I didn't see the wash !!! Again my expectations declined further!!! Okey now the menu had something appealing as there was BACON(PORK) I LOVE PORK!! I had to get something which had pork in it!! It was a must I never thought somewhere in Kerala there would be a place where I would get a beef patty which I could relate to like those "BURGER KING" OR "SHAKE SHACK" I was lost in my imagination nd then few minutes later (shout out to them for being so quick) It arrived looking like a beast "Haystack Burger"-365rs. One of the best nostalgia feeling everrrrrrrr I never thought it would be this good, tbh I was soo shook I wanted moreeeee even tho one was really filling... I can taste that fresh homemade patty perfect bacon with the crispy onions and the over dominant pickled cucumber it was an amazing experience !!! The bun was soo soft and fresh and hot With that I had a drink called the "Peach Bull"-150rs. Which is peach and redbull!! It was okey I guess !!! But it doesn't really matter as the Burger was amazing I also got to try the "Baconaitor"-414rs. A person whole love ALL MEAT burger would love it I personally liked the haystack better cuz I believe a burger should be a mixture of many things and not just one With a "Virgin Pina Colada"-160rs. Which was a perfect Pina Colada which I appreciate!!!
