Extremely Disappointed with the Service at Happy Cup, Panampalli Nagar
I’m truly sorry to say that our experience at Happy Cup yesterday evening was far from what we expected, especially on a day we had hoped to celebrate as a family — Father’s Day.
We had arrived at around 7:30PM, Though our food order was placed decently enough, the customer service was extremely disappointing, particularly from one of the staff members.
We were initially assigned an 6-seater table, which felt odd and impersonal for just three of us — myself, my husband, and our 1.5-year-old son. Hoping to make the dinner feel cozier and more special, we requested a change. The next table we sat at an AC cubicle with four tables and a freezing 20-degree setting, despite the heavy rain outside. Our child was understandably restless, and seeing that we hadn’t even been served food yet — only water — we politely requested another change.
At this point, the waiter’s attitude turned unnecessarily snide. While coordinating with others, he loudly remarked — “Finally they’ve decided a seat” — in a tone that felt mocking and disrespectful. As paying customers, it’s well within our right to ask for a more comfortable seating arrangement, especially when the table was unoccupied and the food hadn’t yet arrived.
We weren’t being unreasonable. If the restaurant had been crowded, we would have completely understood the limitations. But the table was empty, and our only intent was to enjoy a peaceful dinner as a family.
If our request came off as inconvenient, I genuinely apologize. But what could have been a warm and memorable evening was instead filled with frustration — all because of one staff member’s attitude. Dining out should feel welcoming, not like a battle for basic courtesy.
I sincerely hope the management takes note of this, not just for us, but for the comfort of...
Read moreWe visited this place on a saturday eve with friends. Precautions are being taken against corona - sanitation at entrance etc. we ordered honey glazed chicken, chicken lasagne, country fried chicken & temptation pizza along with virgin mojito. wanted to try quesidilla but was unavailable overall i felt the food was okay- pizza was a letdown- having had pizzas from all over kochi including canosa i felt this one lacked flavour. The name was bbq chicken pizza & we were looking for bbq ed chicken- there was chicken but it wan't bbq ed. the pizza base was good. the cheese stuffed crust was gooey & delicious but toppings & flavour was a complete let down- & that too after hearing so many compliments throughout instagram. The honey glazed chicken was good. some pieces even had a crackle to it which i loved. chicken lasagne was the star of the evening - it was mild yet flavourful- loved the sauce & everything. but the garlic bread on the side wasn't crisp- it was soggy- felt like a stale piece of bread. The country fried chicken again lacked flavour - i liked the mashed potatoes but the veggies were a letdown. the sweet chilli sauce was really good. the virgin mojito was a no nonsense drink - a really good mojito- really filling too- 2 people can easily share a drink. all others quantity was just enough for 2- filling for 1 person. price was on the expensive side which is expected since this is a foreign cuisine. the ambience was nice - its a great place to hangout with friends or a romantic date. would i come back? not sure .. overall experience was okay if not exceeds expectations. if u set aside the expectations u bring with u after reading all the stuff from instagram foodie reviews this is a...
