No doubt why this brand is going in losses. Their target was to make money by the name of premium coffee and just do premium marketing to fool people.
They were king in this business because there was no Starbucks in India but now their fun period is over. Forget Starbucks even normal cafes serves way better coffee and food than them.
Whenever you go to any CCD you'll notice their staffs try to upsell you in the name of add-ons. Their prices are already extremally high, on top of that they scam you with words and offer add-ons and take more money for simple things. This business tactics is very wrong.
Devil's Own @ Rs.305 (1/5) It's their in house signature drink and it tasted pathetic. One of the worst beverages I've ever tried and they charged Rs.305 for it. Just bitter junk sophisticatedly served with cream for show off. I bet any other cafe brand serves much better item for this price.
Tandoori Chicken Sandwich @ Rs 270 (1/5) Not fresh, frozen bread reheated and felt very dry. Some odd fragrances were coming for it. What else do you expect from CCD!
Stop going to any of the CCDs, let this brand die, let karma take...
Read moreSo it was a great experience at CCD, E-Mall. I was longing for coffees, yes you're right, not just a coffee but coffee(s) @CCD from a long time. Got this opportunity when I came to E-Mall to get my laptop repaired. Since the repair took almost 4 hrs, so I had enough time for coffees, although I hd just 2 as I couldn't have more than that. The vibes at the cafe was excellent. Staff well professional and knew the taste of coffee. Although the rates of coffees had increased may be around 20-25% AC(after corona) but still it was worth if you compare to my last experience at Starbucks, CC1, Salt Lake. I had a Cafe Mocha and a Cappuccino, both tasted awesome and reminded of the real CCD experience which I had in various other cities like Mum n Pune. Even the packed cookies were quite good. So hat's off to CCD once again, although your rates need are little pricking, do something if you can about it, rest...
Read moreI didn't have a good experience in the Cafe coffee day located in E-mall,Kolkata.Most of the cheaper and basic items like cappuccino and garlic bread or chili cheese toast were not available or could not be ordered.Only the higher priced coffees were available and the same goes for snacks.
I fail to understand how they could say that they were able to serve the higher priced flavoured cappuccino but not the cheaper regular cappuccino. I was told that I could not order the cheaper and basic garlic bread, only the more expensive variety of garlic bread. I ultimately purchased Cafe Mocha, and refused all snacks, add ons or even cookies. They then suggested that I could now order the basic garlic bread as an add on.So strange!
The Mocha was served without a tray or a plate and tasted like plain old cappuccino with hardly any taste of chocolate, which Cafe Mocha should have.
Most...
