We've been going to Jadavpur and College Street Coffee houses for ages. However recently we have started going to Chittaran Avenue coffee house for a small chat. The waiter, one Mr Ghosh, the man with unique mustache, is a wonderful person always cheerful and friendly to serve our orders However, we were shocked yesterday when one person named Rao came and asked us to leave the place saying we were doing business and occupying the space for over 2 to 3 hours. We were forced to object to his words since his behavior was horrifying and directly charging to us and had no truth in it, since we had gone there hardly 30 minutes back and had ordered for over ₹255. The same statement was also supported by the waiter. Request the management to look into the matter and make sure that such persons are immediately removed from all the coffee houses traditions of which these people fail...

Visited famous India Coffee House after a long time. Felt nostalgic. But the present coffee house is not a fraction of its old glory. Home made coffee is better than the coffee served here. Asked for sugar free hot coffee with sugar free pellets or powder. None of them was available. Standard reply was 'NOT AVAILABLE'. Many of the snacks items were not available also during peak hours. However, snacks was better than coffee. Covid protocol was not maintained by the staff. Waiters were busy in getting TIPS than service. The big hall was not crowded like old days. Authorities should try to give service with authentic coffee and snacks without promoting coffee with big advertisements as wall hanging. Not recommended for coffee...
