Situated in Fort at Ground Floor, 5, 58/64, Hari Chambers, S B Road; 1441 Pizzeria is easy to locate and is a veg and non-veg pizza and salad place which provides wide range of pizzas along with some starters, salads beverages and deserts. They do not have valet parking services but parking is easy to find outside on the main street. They also have a high chair available for toddlers and babies. They do not book tables but we found space easy at Lunch Time on Saturday afternoon.
They have open kitchen seen from the restaurant seating with cozy chairs and tables. They have good menu options and pizzas can be customised according to your need to in Make Your Own Pizza section where you can have a completely different yet delicious pizza with your own unlimited toppings to choose from. The Base of the pizza is made in front of us from the dough and after the sauce and toppings, its placed in the wood fired oven for the crisp and perfect flavour. For Soft drinks they have unlimited refill experience so people can drink as much as they want but no sharing.
What we ordered: Brushetta, Smoked Cheese Dough Balls, We opted for Make Your Own Pizza and also tried Make Your Own Gourmet Pizza, Chocolate Dough Balls, Lemon Iced Tea, Peach Iced Tea, Lychee Lemonade
The serving staff allocated a table and made us sit on the chairs after which he explained us what all is offered and asked us to come to the counter and place the customized order(s). The tables have green and orange colourful plates with knife and fork and a tissue paper.
We started with Brushetta which were crisp and nice as it came but after it cooled down the breads were bit harder. Smoked Cheese Dough Balls were soft and heavy with cheese filling – so they are a decent starter to start with. They are made out of fresh dough adding lot of cheese and smoked to perfection as well as served hot with peri peri and barbeque sauce – much appetizing. Then we went to Make Your Own normal and gourmet pizza which were freshly made from the dough and after the sauce and cheese (Extra cheese for us), they put our selected toppings and then it was placed in the wood fired oven – it took approx. 12-15 minutes for pizzas to come to our table. Pizzas were crisp and good and tasted well. Best part is that you can pick which toppings you want to add as well as suggest the quantity how much you want and also tell them if you would like the pizza to be regular or crispy. Mamas sauce was yummy and we also opted for a pesto pizza with customization as well as tried a margarita pizza which was super yummy too. For drinks we ordered Lemon Iced Tea, Peach Iced Tea, Lychee Lemonade all of which were refreshing. Lastly for deserts we opted for Chocolate Dough Balls which proved to be decent as chocolate never hurts. Presented on a wooden serving plate, they have rolled Nutella chocolate dough balls and made it into 8 pieces sprinkled with white sugar powder – it was amazing in taste and its much recommended too with their success of Nutella pizza this is also a good option to try.
Overall, we had a nice time. The staff is good and well trained and the quality and quantity of the portion served is generous along with a good taste. A really good experience we would and recommend our readers to definitely visit this place to try some really nice pizzas which are made in front of you and are customizable too.

Read moreWalking into this place seems like you have walked into a classic yet modern place with all the details. As soon as you enter the door, you will be greeted by the cheerful staff who is more than glad to take you through the concept of their pizzeria. Sitting across the other side of the table you can see your pizza being baked. As also, u have their special Italian Wood Fired Oven in sight while you relish your pizza under the well-lit place with some lovely and soothing music. As lovely as their ambience is, same goes for their food. We were extremely lucky to be invited to a place like this before their launch along with some food bloggers. Starting with, we had the Smoked Dough Balls. Freshly baked in the wood fired oven, they were drizzled with olive oil, oregano and chilli flakes. The dough was baked to perfection and was sweet. The blend of chilli flakes and oregano with the sweetness of the dough was a really great combination. Next came up the bruschetta. It was somewhat less than what we had expected. It was just thin flat breads topped with diced tomatoes, a little pesto and a basil leaf over each portion. The base was crispy and soft. Although the taste of the bruschetta could be a bit on the spicy side. It tasted a little bland with combination of tomato, pesto and flat bread. Now coming to what they make the best! We had the Four Cheese Pizza in Mama’s Special Sauce, which is a spicy sauce. The pizza was topped with Mozzarella, Smoked Mozzarella, Buffalo Cheese and Menthol Cheese. We told them to make the base of the pizza crispy and they baked it really well. The blending of menthol and buffalo cheese was just perfect. The after taste was sweet and smoky because of the different cheeses used. The spiciness of Mama’s Sauce and the sweetness of the cheeses made this pizza one of a kind. A must try for all pizza lovers. Then we went for their Make Your Own Pizza concept, with around 30 toppings and three sauces to choose from. We told them to make half of the pizza in Italian Sauce and another half in Mama’s Sauce. The toppings chosen by us were pineapple, paneer, jalapeno, olives, and corn. The blend of the toppings made the pizza spicy-sweet. All the dishes were baked in their Wood Fired Oven, that’s what makes this place special. Moving on we ordered their famous Nutella Pizza. This was the star dish of our evening. The base was baked in the oven, then Nutella poured on it. Topped with marshmallow and fresh fruits like bananas, mangoes, and kiwis. Then after adding a little brown sugar, glazed beautifully. And finally the drizzle of dusted icing sugar. The glazing made the surface of the fruits crispy. The taste of this pizza was impeccable. We would highly recommend this to anyone who visits this place. Lastly we ended with the Chocolate Mousse, which was their dessert of the week. This was soft, rich and extremely creamy chocolate mousse topped with crispy frozen chocolate shavings. If you’re a pizza lover, then this one has to be on your bucket list. Definitely worth a visit.

Italy has given the world some of the most sought after objects of envy & attention; Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Versace, Armani, D&G but the most accessible & loved beauty has to be the PIZZA. If ever Pizza is allotted or allocated a Geographical Indication [GI], I guess it would be 1441 which are the geographical coordinates of Naples where supposedly Pizza was re-discovered.
I was invited for a review by the management. The place was full with customers when we arrived here for the session. We were welcomed with a smile by their staff and seated. After a while, their Restaurant Manager, Mr. Siddhesh, took us on a tour of the Pizzeria and informed us about the concept of the place.
The ambience is very lively and the place is brightly lit up. The walls have been lined with some informative frames about the history of Pizza, the background of ingredients. The walls are lined with arcs made from amber red bricks. The seating is of two types; table of normal height & high seating tables. Soft jazz music is played in the background which does not interfere in the conversations.
First to arrive on the table were DOUGH BALLS, made using the same dough as the Pizza. The dough is rolled into a cylindrical shape and small pieces are cut. Those pieces are then placed in the oven till they are crisp on the outside. Then they are tossed with some olive oil, chili flakes and oregano. Just loved the 2 types sauces which were served with the Dough Balls.
We then walked down to the counter where the dough was first stretched by hand to make it a 11 inch Pizza base. One had to choose the base sauce from Italian sauce & “Mama’s sauce”; being the indianised version with Ajwain in the sauce though I could not feel the flavour of the spice.
You then pick up the cheese you want for the Pizza from shredded Mozzarella, Smoked Mozarella & Buffalo cheese. Now comes the difficult part of choosing from 20+ vegetarian toppings; lettuce, bell peppers, onions (plain & caramelized), jalapeno, olives, corn, broccoli, tomatoes (sun dried & cherry) & potatoes.
We tried 2 Pizza’s with a variety of toppings; trying to accommodate as many toppings as we can on each of them. We did try both the variants of base that they offer; regular base & crispy base. The noteworthy part is the use of top quality ingredients.
Service was cheerful, quick and with a smile. They were prompt to explain to check with each & every customer, the concept of their Pizzeria
At this Pizzeria, customisation is the key where you can play around or adjust the base sauce, cheese, toppings as per your choice / ingredients. This probably is the only place or one of the only few places where they Pizza’s are baked in wood fired oven.
Though I didn’t pay for the meal, the prices are fair enough for the variety & quality of ingredients, concept and service.
