Bake house cafe is a cute all day dining cafe located in bylanes of fort kalaghoda.Walking distance from Rythum house / 145 kalaghoda fort. This brand is owned by same management of Carters.

Bake house cafe has an extensive menu for a cafe.Offers breakfast, lunch & dinner. They also have in-house bakery. I personally loved the interiors. The chairs with photos of charlie chaplin is so cute. The owner Adnan himself has done a great job with interior desiging of Bake house and personally looks after daily operations.Immense respect for talent like Adnan. Bake house has ground floor seating and 1st floor upstair seating . Ground floor has more of a vintage look while 1st floor has a modern look and feel .I personally love the selfie zone at main entrance of Bake house. Service at Bake house is very good.Staff is extremely polite. I went on a weekday and even on weekday this cafe was running absolutely packed which was very heartening to see. Pricing is very reasonable for the quality of food offered.

Coming to variety of dishes i tried here

Small bites

Veggie homemade Mexican tacos -Inhousw made taco chips.Extremely crispy and perfect on taste..Roasted mushrooms, veggies, beans and onions used in preparation .Highly recommended

Home made Cheesey Loaded nachos-Signature small bites dish of Bake house cafe for me.Nachos chips prepared in-house .Extremely crispy and best part being they didnt go soggy. Seasame dip, sour cream and bell pepper used in preparation.A special mention for the cheese they used in Nachos..Yummy. Must try!!

Mezze platter-Dish of hummus, baba ganoush. Served with in house made pita bread .Decent preparation

Salads

Citrus couscous salad-Another top notch salad .Corriander mint leaves, malta orange, roasted almonds, julian capsicum and dates used in preapation of this healthy salad.I personally enjoyed having it

Drinks

Drinks section they have loads of options on offer. Variety of Freshly squeezed juices,Smoothies, slushes, shakes to choose from . I love slush so i tried kalakhatta slush(my all time favourite) & kiwi mint slush. Both were simply superb

Shakes i tried almond seasame seed slush-Extremely rich on taste and creamy..A little heavy on tummy.Quite filling

Sandwiches

Cottage cheese chamchuri sandwich-A nice herb bread based sandwich with cottage cheese and chilli flakes

Burgers

Desserts

Liquid chocolate cake-Just a perfect way to end delicious meal. Freshly prepared. Liquid chocolate cake takes about 10 minutes to get prepared and served on table.Came warm .Liquid chocolate was too good. Bake house cafe is a new entrant in Kala Ghoda. Kala Ghoda is a Restraunts paradise and Bake House fits it's bill perfect.

So let's begin my review!!

Those looking for a quick review, here we go..

  1. Ambience 5/5
  2. Drinks - 4/5
  3. Food - 4/5
  4. Service - 4/5
  5. Value for money - ₹₹₹ good

So here is a detailed analysis of the place.

  1. Ambience -5/5

The bake house cafe has a very inviting feel to it. It instantly makes you comfortable. The decor is indeed very vibrant with colours all splashing across. The centre of the room is adorned with this huge chandalier giving it that vintage , English feel. The seating is divided into two sections. The upper Deck and the lower deck.

The upper deck acts a comfy lounge with huge pillows and big & small tables, while the lower deck is the hip and bustling coffee shop. Loved the chick look of it.

  1. Drinks

They have a varied variety of coffee (both hot and cold) . Pick your sin for the day. Incase your not a coffee person (Just like me), you select soothies from thier list. So here's what I had

Lemon Ice Tea - A refreshing drink with that lemon tang. Nice

#Blueberry smoothie - This was more like a milkshake than a smoothie. I would have preferred this much colder. Otherwise great soothing milkshake.

Brownie and Vanilla Shake -. A nice mix of vanilla flavoured milk with the brownie. Nice, a little.heavy though.

  1. Food

The variety is huge and so different. Making a choice was soo difficult. So this is what ordered.

Chipotle pepper Spiced Chicken lollypops - Visually this was stunning. The plating, the cutlery, the salad just enhanced the look of it. Coming to the flavours, The Chicken wings were crisp and we'll tasted nice and spicy. I wanted more of the chilli flavour to hit my pallate, but overall I was impressed with this baby!!

#Dymamite Prawns - Served in a cocktail glass these prawns looked spectacular. Placed elegantly in an cocktail glass with greens adorning it's centre. Flavour wise, it was tangy and well fried. its prawns what can go wrong 😉😉😉

Shitake Mushroom and Chicken Burger - unlike a traditional burger, this was more of a chicken with mayo slaw served between two freshly baked buns. The Shitake mushrooms have a very unique, umami flavour to it. This worked for me as it exuberated a very different flavour. Loved it. Those were served with potato vedges and Ketchup.

Black Rice Rissoto - Black rissoto rice is not easily available in restraunts as it suits only a certain set of audience. This was a good choice from the menu. The rice has the great bite, what the French call 'aldante' property. I just wanted this to be more saucier.

Cheese burst Sandwich - We Indians love our cheese and this on the menu only adds that smile. A simple grilled sandwich with tamatoes and cheese. A winner initself.

Chargrilled Indian Salmon - A lovely fillet served with a buttery sauce, grilled to perfection. The veggies were well suated to ensure that thier structure and crispness is not lost. The fish was well season and flaky pointing out that it was not. over cooked. I loved this.

Dessert - A bake house needs a really good baked dessert. My dinner was complete with a decadent blueberry cheese cake. It was light, moist and melted in your mouth. Must try!

  1. service - Quick, fast and efficient. The turn around time was quick and the boys did well.

  2. Overall - Bake house is a perfect example of luxury and comfort. It's entire ability to transform its space into a coffee hub and a dinner Lounge is just great. Go for it and you won't be...

The Bake House Cafe in Fort, Mumbai, is a European-style café located in one of the city's most charming and historically rich areas. Here’s a detailed review:

Ambiance : The Bake House Cafe exudes a vintage European charm with a rustic touch. The décor combines wooden furnishings with cozy lighting, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere. The café’s design pays homage to its old-world location, making it an ideal spot for anyone who appreciates a nostalgic and aesthetically pleasing environment. The walls are adorned with old pictures, and the overall vibe makes you feel like you've stepped back in time. The seating is comfortable, with options for both small tables and larger communal spaces.

Food & Menu : The café offers an extensive menu that covers a wide range of cuisines, though their focus is primarily on European and Continental fare. The food here is known for its fresh ingredients, especially their baked goods and bread, which are made in-house.

Breakfast : They have a well-curated breakfast menu with options ranging from English breakfasts to healthier choices like avocado on toast and smoothie bowls. Their eggs Benedict and waffles are highly recommended.

Pastries & Desserts : As the name suggests, their bakery section is excellent. From croissants to pain au chocolat, everything is freshly baked. The cakes and desserts are indulgent, with the chocolate tart and cheesecakes being crowd favorites.

Service : The service at The Bake House Cafe is generally efficient and friendly. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and helpful with recommendations. While the café can get busy during peak hours, the service quality remains consistent. They also take care to customize orders according to dietary preferences when requested.

Bake house cafe is a new entrant in Kala Ghoda. Kala Ghoda is a Restraunts paradise and Bake House fits it's bill perfect. So let's begin my review!! Those looking for a quick review, here we go.. 1) Ambience 5/5 2) Drinks - 4/5 3) Food - 4/5 4) Service - 4/5 5) Value for money - ₹₹₹ good So here is a detailed analysis of the place. 1) Ambience -5/5 The bake house cafe has a very inviting feel to it. 2) Drinks They have a varied variety of coffee (both hot and cold) . Pick your sin for the day. Incase your not a coffee person (Just like me), you select soothies from thier list. So here's what I had # Lemon Ice Tea - A refreshing drink with that lemon tang. Nice #Blueberry smoothie - This was more like a milkshake than a smoothie. I would have preferred this much colder. Otherwise great soothing milkshake. # Brownie and Vanilla Shake -. A nice mix of vanilla flavoured milk with the brownie. Nice, a little.heavy though. 3) Food The variety is huge and so different. Making a choice was soo difficult. So this is what ordered. # Chipotle pepper Spiced Chicken lollypops - Visually this was stunning. Flavour wise, it was tangy and well fried. its prawns what can go wrong 😉😉😉 # Shitake Mushroom and Chicken Burger - unlike a traditional burger, this was more of a chicken with mayo slaw served between two freshly baked buns. The Shitake mushrooms have a very unique, umami flavour to it. This worked for me as it exuberated a very different flavour. Loved it. Those were served with potato vedges and Ketchup. # Black Rice Rissoto - Black rissoto rice is not easily available in restraunts as it suits only a certain set of audience. This was a good choice from the menu. The rice has the great bite, what the French call 'aldante' property. I just wanted this to be more saucier. # Cheese burst Sandwich - We Indians love our cheese and this on the menu only adds that smile. A simple grilled sandwich with tamatoes and cheese. A winner initself. # Chargrilled Indian Salmon - A lovely fillet served with a buttery sauce, grilled to perfection. The veggies were well suated to ensure that thier structure and crispness is not lost. The fish was well season and flaky pointing out that it was not. over cooked. I loved this. # Dessert - A bake house needs a really good baked dessert. My dinner was complete with a decadent blueberry cheese cake. It was light, moist and melted in your mouth. Must try! 4) service - Quick, fast and efficient. The turn around time was quick and the boys did well. 5) Overall - Bake house is a perfect example of luxury and comfort. It's entire ability to transform its space into a coffee hub and a dinner Lounge is just great. Go for it and you won't be dissapointed.
