Read moreVisited the restaurant yesterday evening (11th Feb 2023). Had the worst experience as regards service here. The table was not properly cleaned. After being served the started, requested for an extra spoon & tissue paper. The coordinator took almost 10 minutes to provide the same. As a part of main course we had ordered Tava Paneer Pulav which the waiter forgot to inform in the kitchen. After 2 reminders & almost half hour of waiting, we were served veg Pulav. When we called the manager and complained he admitted he forgot about the tava paneer pulav. Finally we were served Tava Paneer Pulav. Now since it was dinner time and there was limited sitting capacity (which is generally the case in most Mumbai restaurants) the restaurant management allowed waiting customers to stand inside the dinning area so that he can accommodate more people outside or rather people get an impression that there is less waiting period. When we complained to the coordinator about people standing just next to the table he said he was helpless and dosn't know how they got inside. Neither did he asked then to move out. Finally the straw that broke the camel's back was that when we were still eating the Tava Paneer Pulav we were served with finger bowls. This was a clear indication that the restaurant dosn't care for their customers. I wish i could give a zero star to this restaurant for the kind of service they provided to...
Read moreThis is a very old and nostalgic restaurant located at Colaba Causeway and they serve some of the best vegetarian food. You can try some of their chat, chole bhature, pav bhaji, pakoras, and samosa chat. I personally prefer the falooda kulfi which is amazing. It's a mix of kulfi, pista icecream, falooda, and rabdi. If you are a germophobe, this place might not be for you. The setup is pretty old and general maintenance is not that great. There is an open seating area inside the restaurant which gets really hot to seat in and they have a small staircase which leads to the AC section of the restaurant, which while is comfortable but it's not that great. I refrain from drinking the water they serve, so if you're conscious about the purity of what you drink, please order a bottle of water or carry. Please note that there are two restaurants, both just across from each other once you enter the lane. This review is for the restaurant on the right-hand side once you enter the lane.
Parking can be difficult around the restaurant but I believe the BEST depot at Colaba causeway now offers car parking (confirm prior to going in). It's a great place to have a small snack during the evenings but please note that this place shuts...
