Tucked away in the heart of Malad, Queen Margarita’s Pizzeria is a charming, cozy restaurant that delivers an authentic taste of Italy with every bite. From the moment you step in, the inviting aroma of fresh dough and melting cheese greets you, setting the tone for a warm and delicious experience.
The décor strikes a balance between rustic charm and modern simplicity. With its soft lighting, wooden tables, and casual yet chic ambiance, the restaurant feels perfect for both a casual dinner and a cozy date night. The space is intimate but never cramped, and you can watch the chefs expertly spin and bake the pizzas right in front of you, adding a theatrical touch to your dining experience.
We started with their signature garlic bread and bruschetta – both crisp, flavorful, and generously topped. But the real star, of course, was the pizza. Their Margherita, true to its name, was a heavenly combination of a light, chewy crust, tangy tomato sauce, and fresh mozzarella with a drizzle of basil-infused olive oil. We also tried the Truffle Mushroom pizza, which was rich, aromatic, and melted in the mouth. Every pizza was served hot and fresh, and you could tell the ingredients were of top quality.
What truly elevated our night, however, was the wonderful service, especially from our waitress Muskaan. Just like her name, she served with a smile that never left her face. Attentive, warm, and genuinely enthusiastic, Muskaan made us feel welcome from the get-go. She guided us through the menu, made some great recommendations, and even checked in a couple of times to ensure everything was perfect – all while managing other tables with the same cheerful energy. Her positive vibe added so much joy to the evening.
For drinks, we tried their in-house mocktails, which were refreshing and creatively presented. The ‘Berry Basil Cooler’ stood out with its zingy flavors and perfect balance. We rounded off the meal with a Tiramisu that was light, creamy, and not overly sweet – the perfect way to end an indulgent meal.
Prices are reasonable, especially for the quality and portions. The staff overall is friendly, the music is soft and unobtrusive, and the food is consistently excellent. It’s rare to find a place that gets so many things right, from flavor to hospitality, but Queen Margarita’s nails it.
In a city full of pizza joints, Queen Margarita’s stands out not just for its authentic food but for the heart it puts into service. If you’re in Malad and craving some real wood-fired pizza, this little pizzeria is a must-visit. And if you’re lucky enough to have Muskaan serve your table, you’ll leave not just full,...

I live 3 blocks away from Queen Margherita's Pizzeria and was planning to visit for quite some time. I did my research of checking their @queermargpizza page and the owner's Instagram (that dude, cool) accounts before visiting.
I ordered the vegetarian pizza- the one with arugula in it and opted for to-go/pick-up.
They should consider including protein staples like tempeh, artichokes, tofu, cottage cheese as add-ons (they only have mushrooms and cheese) for the vegetarian pizzas. I was struggling with Altaf in asking for plant-based protein alternatives. As I am a bit conscious about what goes in my tummy, my only reservation was the white flour (maida is not for me). If they could have whole wheat and Tim Hortons Dark Roast (okay that was too much) as options- then it would be perfect. Also the menu cards doesn't have images of dishes- something they can try making. I used my Swiggy app to look at their menu pictures before zeroing down on my order.
Of course the store's theme appeals to a certain demographic in Orlem. But I am not a big fan of mushrooms and maida so would visit only for a snack. I ended up ordering a salad from Pishu's after reaching home as I was hungry and felt guilty of cheat food.
The hospitality is great though. I met my doppleganger Sid and Altaf and they were really cool. Their advertising agency has done a good job with Queen's Insta handle and takeaway packaging- presentation for the win but the cardboard box says "Ciao Bella" and ummm....imma a dude...lol.
For 761 INR, I got a medium-sized pizza with garlic side dish. I wouldn't spend this much again (I am not even low-key level rich). I usually order a medium Farmhouse from Domino's which gives a whole-wheat Farmhouse Pizza with cottage cheese (if only they could have tempeh. *sigh) at 320 INR. Sasta, acha aur tikaau.
I had thought of leaving my feeback on Queenmargpizza / owner's handle. But my comment inquiry is lying unattended on their Instagram page since May...lol (maybe their social team is busy making brilliant creative posts).
Overall, if you are the one who counts the calories while making memories (I keep a track of my daily calorie intake sadly), just check twice before you go. I am a struggling millennial so 500 INR is too much if I ain't getting my veg protein fix.
For some odd reason, it appears to be similar to Toronto's Queen Margherita Pizza (the one in DT, Dundas West has a neapolitan theme, similar brand name...I may be wrong).
Just my...
Read moreVisited The Queen Margherita in Malad and tried the Veg Pesto Pizza and Classic Veg Margherita. The pizzas were good, fresh, nicely packed, and flavorful. Special mention to the valet service, smooth and professional. The lady at the entrance who takes your name and number was polite and well-mannered too.
That said, the overall dine-in experience is extremely disappointing.
The staircase is dangerously steep and narrow, making it difficult to climb.
The first floor seating area is tiny, with just 2–3 tables crammed together. There's no ventilation, and with the AC placed right next to the kitchen, the entire space is hot, suffocating, and completely lacking oxygen.
The washroom is extremely small and poorly maintained.
One of the most off-putting aspects was the staff behavior upstairs. There's a thin line between being attentive and being intrusive, and unfortunately, that line was crossed. One staff member kept pacing back and forth near our table, like he's finishing his 10,000 steps, first floor seating is literally 50 sqft & imagine him walking around while we eat our food, it was creating discomfort, it genuinely felt like he was trying to eavesdrop on our conversation. With such limited space, this made it very hard to relax or enjoy the meal.
Eventually, I left halfway and finished my pizza in the car, which was far more peaceful and comfortable.
This place clearly thrives on crowd and delivery. So if you want to enjoy their food, you're better off ordering at home or picking it up and eating in your car. The dine-in setup, especially upstairs, is just not worth the discomfort.
Please don't ask how's the pizza within 5 mins, i need to eat some more bites to...
