Short description: food is expensive, the place is crowded, the location is terrible and the customer service is mediocre. All the makes of a place that has food that I would happily kill for! Twice!! Beautifully spiced halal meat, Have the kakori or golouti kebabs. The malai is also excellent. Skip the carbs. Don't eat the fish. Oh, and don't even go here if you are a vegetarian, looking for ambience or want quick customer service.
Long description: Azams at Khan market is going to be a must visit everytime I'm in Delhi. It's close to the metro and the kebabs are worth it. Who knew that when they say malai kebab, the meat itself is like malai. Just a wow. We went there, walked around the whole block and then realised that the hole in the wall place that we had passed several times was the famous Azam's. It was about 7pm and a fair crowd was already standing around, waiting or eating and ordering more. The smoke from the cooking vents directly into the street so that's always fun if you have breathing problems (ofcourse if you have breathing problems, then why are you in Delhi in the first place). Our order took a good 20 minutes and the wait is not the best. So if say, wak around Khan market. Do your grocery shopping and come back. We parcelled the food and went back to our hotel. Food was still warm and I then got my first taste of what a mutton golouti kebab is. Warm, spicy meat that absolutely melts in your mouth. It boggles the mind. How does it hold its shape? The chicken malai kebab was also the same, with different spices. The moment it touches your tongue it just falls apart. I mean, why do we even need teeth. The romali roti was ok. I might have had a tiny bit. The fish was so so, even avoidable if you ask me. And the mutton barra was a delight. If you eat mutton then...
Β Β Β Read moreOverpriced chicken rolls and bland Mutton kebabs. Ordered chicken malai tikka rolls, mutton Galauti and kakori kebabs which are the signature dishes of the outlet as advertised. And I was served with undercooked rolls and room-temperature mutton kebabs with 2 types of chutneys with were so watery and lacked consistency. I highly doubt the quality of the meat since IT MADE MY STOMACH UPSET RIGHT AFTER THE MEAL. The owner doesnβt take either UPI or Card. Only cashing in the fact that he is located in the hub of Khan market. Highly disappointed with the quality and pricing. Donβt talk for false Influencer...
Β Β Β Read moreThe consistency is what I absolutely love about the place. It's located right in the begining of the inner road, also where the bigger outlet of big chill is. Must try dishes include the Mutton Kakori Kebab and the Mutton Galauti Kebab alongwith the varqi parantha. Their small plates seemed delectable, but I never seem to get enough of the kebabs to ever get around to anything else while I'm there. The wait time is 10 minutes at the very least, so keep some time in hand. They don't have any seating, but they do offer disposable cutlery to go or to have it right outside, contrasting other outlets in the Khan...
