Lord William Tea Lounge - Hotel Royal Plaza — Restaurant in New Delhi

If you want brightly coloured interiors to cheer you up to face the day, then this is the place to come. Very little availability of patisserie and the ones on display weren’t appetising at all, staff is courteous and served us what we wanted without too much delay. Space is severely constrained at this coffee shop as its seating space is somewhat shared by the main lobby waiting area of the hotel. However, the high ceilings and brightly coloured European motifs and marble statues staring down at you at every angle gives you a sense of space and exotica. Crockery used is nice and colourful too and the air conditioning being part of the hotel was working fine, they have an outdoor area too adjoining the hotel pool...

Decent lounge; let down by staff and service. Staff is drowsy. Lackluster. No energy. No smile. No interest. Music is a bit too loud. Restricted menu.

Service was a disaster. A cappuccino and a tea was ordered. The server brought two cappuccinos. One of the cup had lipstick marks on it. When this was pointed out, the lady claimed it was for someone else and took it away!!

At this point you realize that there is no point in expecting a sensible answer from the staff.

The place has potential though. Premium location. And loud cheerful decor. Can be turned into an advantage. Hopefully the management...
