I recently visited Haldiram’s and had one of the most disappointing experiences ever. I went to the store and stood at the cash counter. I asked the person to pack me khandvi. The moment I said “khandvi,” he immediately told me, “Sir, go to the next counter, your bill will be done there.” He didn’t even bother to listen to my full order — just sent me off to the next counter.
Fine, I went there and told the other person, “Give me khandvi, vada pav, and dhokla.” Now he said, “Sir, khandvi and dhokla will be billed here, but you’ll have to go back to the previous counter for your vada pav.”
I mean seriously? Do they think customers have nothing better to do than run around between counters for one small order? Still, I calmly said okay and decided not to take the vada pav.
After finishing my khandvi and dhokla, I came back for billing. There were just three people in line and I was the third — I stood there for almost 15 minutes. Meanwhile, another billing machine was open, so I politely asked the staff thrice if they could bill me there. Each time, he said, “Sir, online payment is not working, we can’t do it here.”
And guess what — just a minute later, he started billing for someone else on the same counter, and magically, online payment started working again! When I questioned him, he casually said, “Sir, now you can do the billing.” Clearly, he preferred the customer with a ₹2000 bill over mine which was just ₹200.
This is not the kind of service or attitude expected from a brand like Haldiram’s. Absolutely poor coordination, zero customer respect, and complete mismanagement at the billing counters. I genuinely felt like I was being taken for granted.
Extremely disappointing experience — will definitely think twice before...
Read moreDont go by the other good reviews. Its one of the worst joints in saket for food. I went there on a sunday and had ordered a sweet lassi from them, there seemed to be utter caos in their organization as people were running around and staff was not able to keep up with the demand. I spent nearly 20 minutes just to get my lassi. After giving the slip to the counter person, the person told me that it would take 10 mins which was acceptable, I wanted my order as a take away so waited with my child, but even after 15 minutes they kept me waiting with no one manned at the drinks counter. After more time elapsed I asked someone to give me an update and I was summarily ignored. This annoyed me further that I had to shout to get an update. To my plight the person who responded said that "you were told it would take a few minutes when you ordered", which was wrong as noone had told me that. The manager told the person to say politely after I gave him a piece of his own medicine as I told him no one had told me this while I was ordering. The manager was polite but their system is very mismanaged. To further add insult to injury the lassi they provided was not mixed properly with pieces of the sweetner irritating my tongue. I could see people shouting within their kitchen area loudly which made me realise that they are probably selling unhigenic food and stale beverages. Please consider your health before you buy from. Unfotunately, I lost their bill. If I had their bill I would have filed a case against them for sure. I hope the owners see and read this review and correct the problems at their joint. It is unlikely I will ever purchase from thos...
Read moreHaldiram’s at DLF Avenue Mall offers a spacious and well-maintained dining area, making it a comfortable place to grab a meal. The ambiance is clean, and the service is fairly efficient with a short wait time, which is a plus. There’s also a snack store inside where you can buy packaged products.
While the overall experience was decent, I found the food to be quite average. The menu options felt limited compared to other Haldiram’s outlets. I ordered a Masala Dosa, which was okay but nothing special. The Bhalla Papdi stood out as the best dish I tried—fresh, well-balanced, and flavorful. The Bhatura, however, was disappointing; it lacked the expected fluffiness, though the pickle served alongside was good.
For beverages, I tried the Cappuccino, but it didn’t meet expectations, especially for the price. They do have a variety of hot and cold beverages, but the quality could be better.
If you’re looking for a quick, familiar meal, this place works, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit again. Improving food quality and expanding the menu could enhance the experience. Overall, a decent but not exceptional...
